18.01.2022 The Kumon Programs can help you catch up your child if they’ve fallen behind academically or extend them with advanced study. We assess your child to learn wh...at they CAN DO NOW with ease and which areas they are yet to develop. We design an individual study plan for them based on their ability not their school grade. The study plan is continually adapted as they progress through the program and their understanding, confidence and mastery grow. We start them at a point in the program that allows them to grow their confidence, concentration and work skills . When they are ready, we challenge them to tackle advance study. We invite you to read this article to learn about the benefits of studying a second subject with Kumon: https://au.kumonglobal.com/kumon-maths-and-english-literac/

08.01.2022 My teacher did not know this - and I didn't either.

08.01.2022 When our students encounter a new problem, concept or challenge, they have a go by themselves first. They study the examples, draw on previous learning and have... the confidence to try. They try, then think some more, and try again so they can answer the question with confidence. They come to expect the challenge of a difficult problem and the joy of discovering something new for themselves. They learn no problem is ever too difficult to attempt to solve.

06.01.2022 Have you ever been curious to know what Kumon Standard Completion Time is? This is the time range in which students should complete their daily worksheet study ...as they progress through their Kumon levels. This time range also includes time taken for corrections, ensuring 100% for every worksheet. This is one of the key indicators Kumon Instructors use to gain more insight into your child’s learning. Therefore, when studying in centre or at home, it is so important that your child always writes the start and finish time on every worksheet set.

01.01.2022 ****AN UPDATE TO AUSTRALIAN FAMILIES RELATING TO THE ONGOING EASING OF PHYSICAL DISTANCING RESTRICTIONS, AS OF 18/06/2020**** Dear Kumon Students and Families, ...At Kumon, our first priority remains the health and welfare of all students, parents and staff. As restrictions are eased, Kumon centres are gradually resuming partial in-centre study. Duration and frequency of in-centre study will be limited, to ensure compliance with health regulations and physical distancing requirements relevant for each state and territory. Procedures at each centre will vary during this period. Full home-study will also remain an option for students. Kumon centres will continue to provide worksheets and instructional support to students for home-based study for the foreseeable future. Parents can continue to pick up worksheets from the Kumon centre. Kumon Instructors can easily manage communication with families through a variety of electronic means. Physical distancing and hygiene practices will be implemented at all times at Kumon centres. Kumon will always comply with advice from the Australian Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Health Officer for each state and territory, and will adhere to the relevant restrictions for each state and territory. We will continue to monitor the advice from health authorities and governments, and review our position as needed. Kumon is traditionally a home-based, pencil-and-paper programme. It is designed for students to study at home every day on their own. For a short time, every day, no calculator, no keyboard, no screen, no high-speed internet connection necessary. Students take out their worksheets, pick up a pencil, read, think, write, and use an eraser to correct their errors. We hope it is reassuring to know your childs Kumon programme can continue during this period. For families looking to enrol, we encourage you to contact a Kumon centre near to your suburb. To locate your nearest Kumon centre visit: www.kumonsearch.com.au We look forward to welcoming you to Kumon and supporting your child on their learning journey
