22.01.2022 Because we all need a little extra motivation sometimes Sour worms for the win! #mondaymotivation

18.01.2022 At Kumon, students develop a mindset that no problem is too difficult to attempt! They feel empowered to have a go and give the worksheet a try. Don’t we all want this for our children?

16.01.2022 We want to help your children gain confidence! We want to see your children succeed! We want to put your mind at ease!... Kumon Pimlico is dedicated to helping your children discover their true potential.

13.01.2022 Brother and sister studying hard! Sometimes it easier when the whole family is involved

12.01.2022 What are you doing this weekend to relax and unwind? We are thinking of a play in the park with friends, a ride around the river and maybe roasting marshmallows on the fire pit to top it off Of course 10 min of Kumon will be squeezed in somewhere......... because learning doesn't have to stop.

12.01.2022 Even superheroes do Kumon! Happy #humpday y’all! How nice was the long weekend? Makes for a quick week

06.01.2022 This makes me so happy Elliot has really struggled to improve his reading over the last year and a half. But look what perseverance gets you! This sweet boy now reads to his little sister!

04.01.2022 With homeschool being thrust upon so many busy families at the beginning of the term, it is great to hear such positive outcomes like this! Thank you to Sarah and the girls for sharing with us you experience. Your hard work is absolutely paying off. How did you have to modify your approach to home study ? ... We had to modify the times the girls did Kumon which was for the better especially with online learning from school aswell. They were happier to do some Kumon in the morning as I didn't have to get them up so early and they were able to do another earlier in the afternoon due to no sports. Because we were also doing 2 x 10 page books a day, I didn't make the girls do Kumon over the weekend which helped greatly with them doing it through the week. It also gave me leverage if they didn't want to do it one day during the week, they had to do it on the weekend. What has been the biggest struggle? The biggest struggle which hasn't really changed before home study has been getting the girls to do it. Out of the 3 of them there is always 2 that have a whinge. Fortunately it only took a few days before the 'new' routine kicked in and they were sort of happy to do it. Also because they were only doing 5 pages due to being so busy during the week, getting them to do 10 pages was a struggle. What has been your greatest moment? Getting them to do 10 pages instead of the 5 they have been doing before home study started. Especially when they worked out English books were easier when they did a whole book and not 1/2. Seeing the look of achievement when they get a book 100% when they have been struggling on it for a while. Sometimes you get a feeling that they aren't advancing, then they will come home from school and make a comment on something and you go yes, they have got it!. What do you think KUMON has helped with the most ? Depends on the child...My youngest, concentration and copying things correctly (in english) - getting better on this but still a problem. My middle one - comprehension, meaning of words, quick recall in maths. My eldest - that she can do it even when she thinks she can't, cementing time tables.

04.01.2022 Self learning is the set of skills and capabilities that allow one to pursue learning independently and to acquire new knowledge. Don’t you love it when your children have the lightbulb moment?! #priceless !

03.01.2022 As we begin welcoming students back to the centre we wish to say a big Thankyou to our Kumon parents and guardians! The extra workload you have taken on, marking and recording worksheets and encouraging your children to continue their home study will no doubt stand out in your children’s progress! Well done!

02.01.2022 Blowing off a bit of steam today! Couldn’t escape these monkeys though! #isolationlife

01.01.2022 The one in the hammock enjoying a book = progress. Persistence is key.... and some gentle encouragement every now and then! #happysunday
