19.01.2022 Beginning her Kumon journey at a tender age of 3 and a half , Anika Baireddy worked initially on her pencil grip and control whilst learning to repeat and recite simple words and sentences. It wasnt long before she became an enthusiastic reader and creative writer, and in just 6 years and only in Year 4 this little super star has completed the Kumon English programme Having studied senior high school literature by critically acclaimed authors in the final levels of the Kumon English programme, Anika is destined for success in all areas of schooling and beyond. Her confidence in the English language certainly shows in her weekly free writing stories which I have shared in previous posts. Congrats to Anika and to her super supportive parents

07.01.2022 When Kumon students encounter a new problem, concept or challenge, they have a go by themselves first. They study the examples, draw on previous learning and give it a try. They try and fail until they are finally able to do it. They come to expect the challenge of a difficult problem and the joy of discovering something new for themselves. They learn no problem is ever too difficult to attempt to solve.
