22.01.2022 NEWS UPDATE -We currently have around 23 potential employees that are undergoing a Certificate 11 in Security Operations. Added to the first 16 students that we have trained earlier this year Kumul is continuing to grow its pool of highly trained guards . By the end of March early April we hope to have all graduates of our training licensed via the Security Industries Authority (SIA) in Port Morseby. Once licensed we will be able to put our guards to work providing high qual...ity properly trained to our clients both in the Public & Private Sector. Importantly our employees will have an opportunity to earn a good living by being a member of the KUMUL Security Team. As Prinicpal Director of KUMUL INTERGRATED SECURITY SERVICES I am very pleased with the work put in by Geolitha, Koren & Bruno at our head office and training centre in Boroko NCD. I make special mention of Geolitha's brilliant and tireless efforts to ensure that all trainees and training is properly administered & coordinated to ensure that trainees are successful in completing all course work required to achieve success. Well done Geolitha! Regards to all Kumul Staff trainees and of course Friends of KUMUL. FROM Andrew Marks (Ret Major) Principal Director

22.01.2022 Currently I am preparing the Certificates of Training for Batch 1 and Batch 2 so that security licence applications can be lodged with the Security Industries Authority (SIA) in the near future. Once they are approved all of the successful graduates from those batches will be ready for work as security guards for Kumul Intergrated Security Services (KISS). Koren Maso and the SalesTeam at Kumul HQ are in the process of seeking out contracts for us to put members of the Kumul... Team to work. We are seeking security work which needs the all round skills that Kumul Guards have been trained in. It should be noted that since KUMUL guards are formally qualified they will be entitled to a better base rate of pay because they are classified as "skilled workers" under PNG industrial law. This rate of pay is far better than a lot of security guards are paid in because other guards are classified as "unskilled workers" because they are not formally qualified. KUMUL guards will earn more per hour and of course this will mean that our guards' families will see the benefit of having more money coming into their homes which will make family life so much better. And ...... our clients will have the benefit of having the best trained security guards in PNG, since all will have graduated at the Australian Certificate 2 in Security Operations standard. What does KUMUL get out of this? We get the benefit of having the best trained guards available (in other words the best product on the market), we will have a happpier better paid workforce, which means that we will have less turnover of staff than other security companies and therefore we will have a more stable and reliable workforce for our clients. All of these advantages will lead to KUMUL growing stronger as each year passes, and ....... providing more and better jobs for our Team members. I should say here that I am very pleased with the amount of effort that all of the successful graduates from Batch 1 & Batch 2 have put in during their training. I look forward to all graduates remaining with the KUMUL team for many years to come. I also thank the Head Office team for their efforts in supporting me and the traineees during all of the training that we have conducted since we started. Special thanks to Geolitha, Bruno and others who have assisted our trainees in achieving their qualifications. I will be visting Port Moresby in mid to late July to complete training of Batch 3. We will also be having a graduation for all of our trainees in the near future. Koren Maso is working on this at the moment and will advise of the details once confirmed. I look forward to catching up with you when I visit PNG in late July. GO PNG and GO KUMUL!!! Andrew Marks - Director

20.01.2022 News Break - SAPOL have this afternoon approved us to use the new firearms tethering devices for our range firearms that are used by unlicensed persons. As from Friday 10 June 16 the new tethering system will be in full use. In the photo you will see a Glock 9mm semi-auto pistol and a .357 magnum revolver ready to go. Other tethered firearms include the 44 magnum revolver and the 45 semi-automatic pistols. Along with tethering devices SAPOL has also approved new security scr...eening procedures for all unlicensed persons that wish to undertake live firing of handguns on our range. This will mean that all unlicensed persons will need to go through metal detector screening prior to using the range. The idea behind this is to ensure that prohibited weapons and other potentially dangerous or hazardous items are not taken into the range where they could endanger the safety of our customers and our Range Safety Officers. The security checks are similar to those that are conducted at most nightclubs and other public events. The procedures are designed to ensure that all users are able to enjoy the experience the challenge of target pistol shooting in a safe and secure environment. Andrew Marks - Managing Director

07.01.2022 As you may be aware we have been working with police to install tethering devices to ensure that all live firing activities are very, very safe. The photo shows the device that has been uniquely developed by us for our range. A feature of the device is that it will allow unlicensed members of the public to fire the most common types of handguns in complete safety. The brackets allow the secure attachment of .22 semi auto pistols, 9mm & 45 cal semi-auto pistols AND .357 and ....44 Magnum revolvers. The firearms still need to be aimed by the novice shooter in order to hit the bull's eye because the device allows the shooter to move the point of aim left and right and up and down until it is lined up on the bull's eye and of course the shooter also needs to apply correct trigger control to obtain accuracy. No flinching or you will miss the target! The main safety feature of the system is that it stops any movement that may endanger other shooters, the range officers and of course the shooter themselves but it allows the novice/unlicensed shooter to safely experience the challenge of target pistol shooting. Of course our Range Safety Officers will be supervising all unlicensed/novice shooters as they are using the tethering devices to ensure absolute safety. We anticipate that the tethering systems will be approved and operational Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Note: Licensed shooters (club licensees and security H6 licence holders) will not be required to use thethering devices only non-licensed shooters. For more information contact us on 8231 4888 during office hours

07.01.2022 Kumul Integrated Security Services (KISS) is currently seeking PNG Government permission to deliver the Australian Certificate 111 level firearms and defensive tactics training courses to employees of KISS in Port Moresby PNG.
