Some twine and a few basic knots are all you need to explore the immense possibilities that macrame offers. Macrame craft does not require many supplies or tools and is something for everyone. This craftivism workshop is in support of the rising women's movement and march for justice and equality, in response to the recent cultural and political issues in Australia. I recently came across this inspiring craftivism project - The PussyHat Project and thought it would be a wonderful contribution in raising awareness, creating conversations in a safe space, providing su...pport and activism through craft. The PussyHat Project ignited in 2016 in the US as a response to their political and cultural issues that had unfolded. I’m planning to hold sessions to create, discuss and connect on all things women; inner and collective strength, wisdom, connection and empowerment. Getting our hands involved in a sensory creation that provides a bit of resistance that requires a bit of work and manipulation, helps to build our resilience to facing and overcoming challenges. Our 2021 Peach Tree inspired Calendar filled will positivity, affirmative phrases, bright and happy imagery. A tapestry of creative ideas and wonderment.
