22.01.2022 BREATHE Wim Hof is kinda special, besides the fact he nearly peaked Everest (my favourite mountain) in just his undies, he is at the forefront of breathwork and mind conditioning. If you haven’t checked him out, you should, and try a few of his breathing techniques too. Most of us don’t know how to breathe properly, we take shallow breaths and either breathe from high up in our chest or from our belly. It profoundly affects us, how we feel - so isn’t it worth a bit of tim...e to learn techniques so we aren’t anxious, stressed out, unhappy and sick? YOU CAN energize your body and mind and start to feel fantastic!! Your going to breathe in for four SLOW counts, feel the breath expand your ribcage, try and fill your whole chest with air. At the end of four, when you think you can’t take any more air in, take a sip more and hold your breath for four slow counts. Exhale for four slow counts and when you think all of the air is gone, breathe out even more (there will be a lot more air to expel). Continue breathing with this pattern for 3 minutes or longer if you get in your zone. Something magical will happen when you intently focus on that space of emptiness in between breathing in and breathing out.it’s a pause and it’s very calming. As your lungs expand you may want to extend the counts to longer to build your lung capacity. Breath retention is NOT suitable for gloriously pregnant mamas xxx
