20.01.2022 Endometriosis is a common disease in which the tissue that is similar to the lining of the womb grows outside it in other parts of the body. 11.4% of women suffer from endometriosis at some point in their life with the disease often starting in teenagers. Symptoms are variable and this may contribute to the 6 and a half year delay in diagnosis. Common symptoms include pelvic pain that puts life on hold around or during a woman’s period. It can damage fertility. Whilst endom...etriosis most often affects the reproductive organs it is frequently found in the bowel and bladder and has been found in muscle, joints, the lungs and the brain. #MarchIntoYellow2021 See more

As COVID-19 has highlighted, some people are able to live healthier lives and have better access to health services than others - entirely due to the conditions in which they are born, grow, live, work and age. We want to do our part and ensure our community has access to better health.
