11.01.2022 A chance encounter for cassowaries and their young to meet. The rare sighting was captured near Cassowary House, Kuranda in 1996/7 by Mike Trenerry. The male on the right is in the process of dropping to the ground in a submissive position as the female behind walks into view. The image captures what looks like a cassowary family making a heart shape around a chick.
