20.01.2022 Australia has today passed 1 million completed coronavirus (COVID-19) tests. Testing is key to keeping our communities safe, along with good hygiene practices,... physical distancing, and having the COVIDSafe app installed (you can go to aus.gov.au/app if you haven't downloaded it yet). And if you're sick, make sure you stay home and speak to your doctor about getting tested. #coronavirusaustralia #covid19
20.01.2022 COVID-19 explainer on masks: who should wear them, when and how
19.01.2022 Due to recently announced cases in Queensland extra restrictions have now been put in place for movement and gatherings in South-East Queensland, including all disability accommodation facilities and residential aged care. These restrictions mean if you live in listed Local Government Areas you can: Have a maximum of 10 visitors to your home. The visitors can be from different households; Have a public gathering with a maximum of 10 people including yourself, or with memb...ers of your household. Extra restrictions have also been put in place for movement and gatherings in areas outside of listed local government areas. These restrictions include: Have a maximum of 30 visitors to your home. The visitors can be from different households; Have a public gathering with a maximum of 30 people including yourself, or with members of your household. These additional restrictions are also in place: Residential aged care and disability accommodation facilities have restrictions on visitors and residents leaving the facility; Hospitals have been asked to restrict visitors as soon as possible; Hospital emergency departments, aged care facilities and disability accommodation facilities will use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including face masks and gloves to treat all patients and residents. These measures will be taken in response to possible community spread associated with a recent COVID-19 case. Protective lockdown will require accommodation providers to restrict visitor access, and for staff to wear masks. More detailed information will be made available as soon as possible via the Queensland Health website. See more

17.01.2022 There are so many services doing wonderful things for the community during this time - like TransitCare Community Flyer. 17.01.2022 How do I tune my TV to receive Radio National (Channel 26) or ABC Classical (Channel 27)? If your digital TV doesnt automatically pick up these radio channels, you may need to manually retune your TV/set top box. Instructions on how to manually retune vary by TV make and model. We recommend you refer to your TV User Manual for specific instructions. General guidelines: Turn on your TV... On your TV remote control press the Menu/Home/Settings button. A menu should appear on your TV screen. There should be instructions on screen about how to navigate the on-screen menu. As a rule, you use the arrow buttons on your TV remote control to navigate through the menu options. Look for a menu option that relates to your TVs channel line up. It could be Channel Search, Settings, Configuration or Tuning then select Re scan or Auto retune. The TV should start searching for new channels. It should take about 4-5 minutes to scan for all available channels. Once completed, exit the on-screen menu and navigate to the TV channel in the above table to locate your ABC Radio channel. If you need further help with these retune instructions, an education promo is played daily Monday to Friday on ABC TV (channel 2/20) after Gardening Australia and before the midday news, stepping you through this process. 04.01.2022 Social connections are not only essential for mental health and well-being, they can also help us cope in stressful situations. Staying in touch with friends and family, including grandchildren, can be as simple as picking up the phone, but video call systems such as Skype and FaceTime can be really helpful too, as they allow for face-to-face catch-ups from a distance. https://coronavirus.beyondblue.org.au//staying-well-stayin
