25.01.2022 Byron Writers Festival has gone digital this year, and Shakthi is one of the guests featuring in their podcast series. Put on a cuppa and listen to his wide ranging conversation with Sunil Badami about family and migration, artmaking and community, and life as an artist in lockdown. https://byronwritersfestival.com//s-shakthidharan-in-conv/

19.01.2022 Shakthidharan sat down with Annette Shun Wah and OzAsia Festival in a wide-ranging conversation about the stories we tell, Australia as a place of refuge and his upcoming works after Counting and Cracking.

18.01.2022 "Presented as part of Sydney Festival 2020, (stay) is a collaboration between Kurinji, a Western Sydney-based arts company, and Singapore’s SAtheCollective, which builds on the lived experiences of its collaborators. The result is the creation of a space that amplifies and captures the ways one shared experience, perhaps even one moment, can weave through time, geographies, ethnicities, cultures and oral histories. Without giving away too much of the plot, it is fair to say that this work-in-progress was simply sublime." Thank you to Arts Equator for this very helpful (and lovely) feedback on our recent showing. Aimée Falzon Shakthidharan Sivanathan SAtheCollective Sydney Festival

04.01.2022 Kurinji is presenting a work in progress at Sydney Festival this Friday and Saturday. Titled (stay), the work is part murder mystery, part music concert. It's a collaboration with the brilliant Singaporean musical ensemble SAtheCollective. (stay) explores themes of land management and fire, and the modern and ancient relationships between Chinese and Indigenous Australians.... The showing is currently on waitlist (we're in a tiny venue), but more tickets should be released soon. Join the waitlist to get in! https://www.sydneyfestival.org.au/events/stay If you come along to the Saturday 4pm showing - you can see SAtheCollective in their own concert afterwards. https://www.sydneyfestival.org.au/events/sathecollective See you there!
