14.01.2022 Quite happy with how the babies are maturing. We had a huge frost this morning, so the grass wont be growing for a while until the days start to warm up. I still have half my property that hasnt had any stock on it for six months and a few round bales in the shed, so that should see the ponies through to spring As you can see on my new property I have been building temporary internal fences with electric tape. My whole external boundary is fenced securely so if we have any ...adventurers that test the electric fence they cant go far. This has been great to test out new ways of paddock rotation and also doesnt lock in anything permanent while I'm unsure where my house and shed will be going. Smaller paddocks and moving the horses on to the next section before it is eaten down too far has been working well, the first section I put them in has nearly completely recovered despite minimal rainfall. When I first moved the horses out here we had had no rain for a very long time and the property bad been very overgrazed. I made a small "sacrifice" paddock to try and keep the deterioration from spreading further and fed out round bales and hard feed during this period. Once we finally got some rain and the grass started to recover I still kept them in the sacrifice paddock to allow the rest of the property a good chance to recover. It was hard work at the time but I'm so glad I did it. I have only owned the property for six months but am very proud of how much it has improved in such a short time. Seeing it transform from a barren, overgrazed down to dirt landscape to what it is now has been amazing, and it still has so far to come, this is only the beginning hopefully we get a bit more rain like we had at the start of the year to help things along. See more

14.01.2022 Happy Easter! No chocolate for me because I don't really like I it but plenty of pony time is on the cards

14.01.2022 Another supreme led for Secretheart Titanium at Buledelah Show with placings in all his other classes. Not long now until he comes home for a break and I can’t wait to see him

12.01.2022 New float on the way for KPH

12.01.2022 Sneak peak of an exciting new arrival today all the way from QLD. Titanium will be very happy with his new girlfriend. Such a beautiful cruisy mare, I'm drooling. I'll get some better photos soon

10.01.2022 No foals due this year for this beautiful girl, to this day every time I see her in the paddock I still stop and stare, she is so gorgeous in the paddock it's hard to capture on camera

10.01.2022 Floating practice for the babies. Yearling stockhorse gelding Buddy, and weanling stockhorse gelding Kahlua. One thing I was extremely grateful for during the fires of January was having easy to float horses. Hence, the learning continues for our up and coming youngsters so that we are as prepared as we can be for next summer

09.01.2022 Some more Kahlua for you to drool over

06.01.2022 Early morning nap time for Kahlua, such a cruisy dude

05.01.2022 I think with the new social distancing rules, prada and kahlua have decided to make a point of showing off how close they can be when we all have to stay so far apart

05.01.2022 Lovely ride on Titanium this arvo. With Sydney Royal cancelled and nationals postponed it was time for him to come back home for a while

02.01.2022 Weaning time for this cheeky dude, if I am self isolating he may as well get on the bandwagon
