01.01.2022 WE GOT HER! After two days of sightings and attempts to save this very large Green Sea Turtle floating offshore this morning was a massive effort by all involve...d to rescue her. Firstly a big thanks to Brett and Kate who just arrived in Mission to live who saw her this morning and called us, we told Brett to grab her and not let her go so he dragged her in and sat on her good job mate! The challenge was getting to the location on Lugger Bay but with a low tide and 4wd driving we couldn't have timed it better. Thanks to the Wildcare team that attended and now some obviously new wildlife advocates to the area. Safe for now resting and the start of her rehabilitation Carapace 112cm and well over 100kgs, big girl!
