22.01.2022 I always jack up the steer axle when servicing trucks to grease and check. The RH bearing had only slight movement but could hear it so I got him to get a set. Today fitted a new set to both sides, would have been a costly failure on roadside otherwise

20.01.2022 Rebuild time for this Toyota Forklift, one from a fleet which I maintain.

19.01.2022 Sourced all the parts, also had hoses made to suit for this TCM sideshift install. Push button on the tilt lever which changes it to sideshift via a diverter valve, simple and effective.

19.01.2022 Weld repair on a flat spotted container forklift mast roller, then machined with a 5 degree taper on each end so that bearing load is in the middle and even on bushes

19.01.2022 3208 turbo CAT engine out of one of K&D Sims coaches, assembling it after it has been fully reconditioned

19.01.2022 D40 navara EGR cross over tube, they crack off and cost a heap to replace. I have previously welded a couple with a solid plug with good success, this time tubed it. If for some reason the weld cracks on the thin tube the way the pipe bolts in it is impossible for it to slide off tube insert and being a tight fit won't leak. Cost effective fix that keeps customers happy

18.01.2022 So I do enjoy getting up to my elbows in black detroit 2 stroke engine oil, the Jake brakes were a bit average on a 6V92T in a mates bus, all fixed now after a few checks and replacing the seals in the Jake housing connecting gallery seals, and it working well - at least 50% better

18.01.2022 Service manual clearly states to change the air con filter at services or at a minimum check it, this Kluger has been serviced at a local workshop in the past. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for..

18.01.2022 Nothing is ever simple. Here for coolant leaks. Had trouble getting the cab up then found a cab mount bolt missing. Temporary fix will do for a while.

07.01.2022 A customers truck started pressurising cooling system and blowing coolant out eventually started missing, hard to start and lacking power. After fault finding it was found that n.o 4 injector was loose with damaged seals and injector seat was stuffed. Head was removed and seats were replaced then refitted along with a top end tune up.
