22.01.2022 Surf Flow . We welcomed @takkesh to the studio this morning to take a small group of us through some @surfflow_ movement. Really enjoyable and a pleasure to have such a great teacher share his knowledge with our crew. . Thanks also to @deanobowen for connecting us with Takkesh while he is spending some time on the South Coast and for coming along and getting involved with today’s session.... . If you’re a surfer on the South Coast who would enjoy getting involved with more of Takkesh’s sessions please get in touch. This is a real opportunity for surfers, athletes and movers to connect with a guy who has worked with the best of the best WSL athletes and helped them to better understand their bodies and to unlock new levels of performance. . Thanks so much @takkesh we look forward to the next session! . #surfflow #surfing #wsl #movement #flow #kiama See more

20.01.2022 Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy & healthy holiday season. . In a year that offered plenty of reasons to feel down, I hope you managed to also find plenty of positives! I thoroughly enjoyed working with every private client, group class and online client and genuinely appreciate each of you trusting me to assist you with your health and movement goals. . Enjoy the time off, take a deep breath, get outside & spend some time with your loved ones. We’ll be back in 2021.

14.01.2022 Everyone playing their part to keep the Big Rig nourished . Sometimes it certainly does take a village, lucky we have a couple of little helpers.

13.01.2022 There’s been some absolute legends of the sport wear the famous red & blue of Moorebank Liverpool Hockey throughout the eras, I hope over the past 18 years I’ve done the jersey justice. . Yesterday marked the end of my ‘serious’ playing career. While I hope to return down the track and contribute in the lower grades or maybe pursue some coaching, my time committing to premier league and chasing representative honours has come to an end. My little family deserves more of my t...ime and energy and my little business probably needs more of my time and energy too. While we may have stumbled at the final hurdle yesterday, I’ve certainly enjoyed the challenges & successes throughout the years with MLDHC. . There’s something special that team sports provide and I’ll be forever grateful to all my team mates and their families for their roles in many of my fondest memories. We ask a lot of each other as team mates in terms of the sacrifices we make to chase our team goals and sometimes these sacrifices also fall onto our partners & families. Ultimately our experiences together are only so meaningful and memorable because of these collective sacrifices along the way. It’s not always easy to describe why we choose to make these sacrifices but I think that anyone who has experienced being part of a special team would understand what I’m trying to say. . To everyone at MLDHC past and present, from the president to the BBQ volunteers, from the 1st grade captain to lower grade rookie, thank you for helping to create a club that will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thanks also to those beyond our club, I’ve been fortunate to forge friendships over the years with many many great blokes who happened to wear opposition colours. . Excited to pivot into a slightly new direction but also looking forward to contributing to hockey in different ways down the track. . See more

11.01.2022 Tuesdays with @taylajeanwatson . We have the best crew that come along pretty religiously every Tuesday to get their yoga practice in with Tayla. I’m so grateful they have chosen to get involved with our sessions and help to create such a nice vibe. Today they even welcomed Maya to the mat so she could follow along with them. Amazing . Tayla also does Friday afternoon yoga with us at the studio. Reach out if you’re keen to come along Tues or Fri ... . #yoga #movement #kiama #mobility #health See more

09.01.2022 YTG!! International Women’s Day 2021. . Cheers to the women in all aspects of my life, especially those who have joined in with any of our training or encouraged, supported and contributed to the journey of my health & fitness business in recent times.

09.01.2022 Water is undeniably one of the foundations of robust health. In Australia we are fortunate that our water is of good quality, but I’d always been interested in improving things beyond ‘Good’ and have frequently used bottle, jug and tap mounted filters for drinking water. . I recently had my mate & client @the_villageplumber install a full house filtration system so now we are drinking, cooking, cleaning, showering and bathing with really high quality h2o. I’m stoked with i...t! . Australian water doesn’t lead to acute illness so we assume it’s fine, and largely it is, but is fine enough for you and your family? It’s no secret that chlorine & fluoride are added to our water. The chlorine is primarily to keep the pipe system and the water itself clean of bacteria, I understand that rationale. BUT once it has served its purpose then my preference is to remove it before it enters into the bodies of me & my family. Seems logical. . The fluoride we are told is to assist with dental health. I’m not convinced. Many countries don’t fluoridate their water and yet tooth decay is apparently not rampant amongst their populations . Furthermore both chlorine and fluoride compete with iodine for the iodine receptor sites on many cells. We NEED iodine yet deficiencies are becoming more common. If you have low thyroid function contributed to by iodine-deficiency then perhaps chlorine and fluoride intake might be part of the underlying issue. . Make sure to reach out to @the_villageplumber if you want to chat water filtration, he’s a great guy and more passionate and knowledgeable about it all then what I am. Tell him I sent you. . #h2o #water #waterfilter #health See more

02.01.2022 If you missed my story earlier in the week, the artistic genius of @samuelhallartist captured in a cool little graphic a fair bit about the vibe of what goes on at my studio. The crew at @kraken_kreative then whacked the graphic on some tees and singlets and this week they arrived in my hands. Pretty stoked with how they turned out. . A few people have already got themselves into one. If you’re keen to treat yourself just reach out and let me know which one you’re after.... I have navy men’s tees, white men’s tees and pale pink ladies singlets . If you’re coming in to train here or happy to swing by and pick it up I’m charging $30, otherwise $35 if you need me to post it to you. . See more

02.01.2022 **TERM 2 TIMETABLE** . For anyone interested in accessing the small group training here at the studio. . The group training timetable for Term 2 is now up on PT minder. I have also attached a photo of it here. A few things of interest:... . We have introduced a new Breath & Ice session on a Friday afternoon in place of the previous Yoga session. This will include gentle movement, group breath work, the opportunity to use the ice bath, optional warm cup of tea afterwards. If you are interested but unsure just come chat with me. . The Saturday morning session will not run through the cooler months, we will re-introduce this in Spring and hopefully take the session outdoors. In the meantime the Monday Movement Flow session will feature some handstand work within its content. I will be also utilising the available weekend time to offer a few intensive workshops where we can focus on specific movements or goals and take a deeper dive into the finer points. . There is only one yoga session per week, hopefully the 5pm time slot is convenient for more people. Sorry to those who were enjoying the twice weekly sessions with Tayla, hopefully you are able to come along and try the Breath & Ice session instead of the second yoga. . I hope there is something on the timetable for you to get excited about. If you've read through this far you can also access a discount on the 5-Session Pass (discount available for the next week). Simply use code TERM2 to save $10 when purchasing on PT Minder. . Hit me up if you have any questions or comments. Have a great weekend!! See more
