Luckily I designed it to be theft proof, the only way it is going down is in pieces, as there has been two separate attempts to steal it. It was about time for a cosmetic overhaul. 05.01.2022 Part of the production run of backorder SERENITY NOW Drz400 muffler inserts getting ready to be shipped shortly. Inserts are manufactured in the Yarra Valley Victoria from premium quality materials to unsure a long trouble free life. The insert is wrapped and ready to install. I use 5 methods to incrementally and acoustically reduce the exhaust Db level whilst allowing a free flowing exhaust, maintaining power with a decent yet quiet note.
04.01.2022 What was supposed to be a minor replacement of some inner sills and outrigger gussets on the 1955 Ford Thunderbird.......... evolved into so much more. The more we cut out, the more we found had to be replaced...... ended up replacing the lower door pillar support, large portions of the floor including forming new stiffening ribs and recesses ( had to make form tools on the fly) at the front of the footwell, along with all the outrigger gussets and inner sills replaced without damaging exterior paint. Put in some long days to meet the deadline. Wrestling with my mig welder that was temperamental jamming and burning back into the torch as the feed motor making awful intermittent drive and noises during this job. New welder is ordered........ only trouble is my Tig welding is rustier than this Thunderbird was!!!!
02.01.2022 Designed and machined a clamp to press fit barbed fittings in 2"/50mm high pressure hose. The internal ribs grip the hose, whilst the milled slots are for a two legged bearing puller to press the fittings into the hose. A massive manual handling solution. Problem solved.
01.01.2022 I am often asked how quiet, or what Db level the serenity now Drz400 muffler insert measures at? The trouble in answering this question is this, with my muffler insert fitted, the majority of the noise now comes from the header pipe and the engine itself. At low speeds you hear the header that gives a nice note and safe in traffic whilst at highway speeds the exhaust is barely heard, which is perfect for adventure riding, and riding near built up areas near houses etc. This ...clip was takes at Little Desert riding at 80km/h with a Gopro outside my helmet, I am speaking in a slightly raised talking voice. The exhaust is barely noticeable. Usually when other people ride alongside a Drz400 they struggle to hear their own bike. This muffler insert doesn't use performance taxing restrictive exhaust flow methods to achieve this Db level. Contact Kustom_worx_by_adam for details. See more
