19.01.2022 It was a great start to Woolworths Junior Blasters and Master Blasters last Thursday afternoon. The kids and all the parents who joined in had a wonderful time. Thanks to Darcy from WACA who led the session and our junior committee who did so much organising it. A BLAST for all involved!

14.01.2022 Last Saturday was an historic day for Kwinana Cricket Club. Taryn Gibbs became our first ever female senior player. Taryn played in our ODH side, getting 1/30 o...ff six overs bowling her outswingers and finished 3 not out (pictures of Taryn batting). 13.01.2022 Last week's match report. Thanks Aaron Kirby. Kwinana Cricket Club stalwart Darryl Jenkins celebrated his 350th game for the club but could not get the result in One-Day H. Kwinana was asked to bat first by Leeming Spartans in One-Day H and struggled from the get-go. Anil Sah put up the only real resistance bludgeoning 39 as Kwinana were bowled out for 86.... Kwinana was left to lament their batting collapse as they reduced Leeming to 4-70 with Iqbal Singh and Satinder Singh taking two apiece. Leeming finished the match on 6-139. One-Day Cs did not fare any better, rolled for 91 chasing 213 against Perth Tamil. Luke Collins was the best of Kwinana's bowlers claiming 2-15 after Perth Tamil won the toss and chose to bat. Kwinana lost their top three batsmen before reaching double figures, and after Bryan Howard was removed Hit Wicket for 11, Kwinana was looking down the barrel at 8-44. Captain Rob Taylor put on some late runs, mostly through boundaries, with 33. A knock of 44 n.o. from 2nd Grade captain Kurt Verdonk saw Kwinana avoid an Outright defeat. Kwinana's slim chance of a reverse Outright was snuffed out early as Jandakot Park put on 167, well passed Kwinana's first innings total of 81. Kwinana produced a couple of partnerships at the top of the order but again struggled to maintain control as they ended the match 6-122. Youngster Blake Kilgallon was a shining light as 4th Grade failed to avoid Outright defeat at the hands of Cockburn. Cockburn had already passed Kwinana's first innings total at the beginning of day two and continued to pile on the pain, amassing 5-210 before declaring. James Taylor took 3-101 in his 4th Grade debut. Kwinana was left needing 119 to avoid the Outright. Kilgallon played a patient inning of 35, but no one could stick with him as Kwinana were bowled out for 86. See more
