25.01.2022 In a special ceremony held last night 34 students from local high schools in the area, graduated from the 2020 KIC iSCIENCE Project. The students, who came together from 10 high schools in the Rockingham, Kwinana and Cockburn areas, were all selected to take part in the prestigious program by their schools.. In Partnership with Murdoch University, the program aims to provide Year 10 students with the opportunity to explore and understand the significance of industry in the Kw...inana Industrial Area (KIA), and the broad range of career options that can be available to them. He just returned last week from a 7-day voyage and was awarded a full scholarship aboard The Leeuwin with him in the photo is Jasmyn, from Kolbe Catholic College, who won the iWOMEN scholarship. 09.01.2022 LOOK: Chris Oughton took the iSCIENCE students on a bus tour of the KIA yesterday to see and hear about the established and future companies, and the potential areas for new development and infrastructure provision. The students learned about the value and dimensions of Industrial Symbiosis, and what it means in a practical sense to the ability of an industrial area to help companies be internationally competitive. #iScienceProject2020 #kicindustry #education

The KIC program commences in February next year The highlight of their day was being presented with welding helmets proudly sponsored by Crushing Services Australia.

04.01.2022 Recently I went to TAFE to see the girls on the KIC Intro to Careers in Industry (for females) Cert II Engineering Pre-app. They were busy in the workshop as you can see. 01.01.2022 Yesterday, Chris attended the Emmanuel Catholic College all-school assembly to present Certificates of Achievement to five students who recently graduated from the KIC iSCIENCE Project. The students were unable to attend the Graduation Ceremony on Monday 9 November due to them attending their end of Year 10 event.
