24.01.2022 Today Friday 9th October from 1530 we will be conducting a Hazard Reduction Burn at the eastern end of Balka Court. This will create alot of smoke so please take care if your driving on surrounding roads.

24.01.2022 The Restricted Burning Period begins tomorrow 1st October 2020 for the City of Kwinana. If you are on a rural property there are a few things you should know before lighting up. Ensure you have the means to control not just the fire you plan to have, but the fire you might end up with. If you are burning a pile of garden refuse, you may burn it without a permit under the following conditions:... The pile can be no bigger than 1m; No flammable matter is to be within 5m of the fire; The fire is lit between 6pm and 11pm and is completely extinguished before midnight on the same day; At least one person is present at the site of the fire at all times until it is completely extinguished; and When the fire is no longer required, the person ensures that the fire is completely extinguished. If you cannot meet all the conditions above, you will need a FREE permit from a Fire Control Officer (FCO). Call (08) 9439 0400 to contact a FCO. If you lose control of your burn, call 000 immediately.

23.01.2022 We are currently conducting a Hazard Reduction Burn west of the prison. We will be here most of the day ensuring the area is safe before we leave.

23.01.2022 Today Wednesday 14th October we will be assisting a local resident with a fuel reduction burn on Lydon Road from 1530. This will create alot of smoke and there will be emergency services personnel working close to the road side so please slow down and take care when driving on nearby roads.

13.01.2022 As most people are aware the City of Kwinana have changed up the lolly run for this year. We are still bringing Santa around on the fire trucks as we usually do but just on a different day. Please keep an ear out. SUNDAY 20TH DECEMBER from 4:30pm (fires permitting obviously)

12.01.2022 Don't be alarmed if you see some red and blue lights on Bombay Blvd. We are currently doing some driver training close to the thomas road intersection.

11.01.2022 Hazard Reduction Burn Tomorrow 2nd October from 1530 and Saturday 3rd October from 0930 we will again be conducting a Hazard Reduction Burn in the bushland west of the Prison. There will be a lot of smoke in the area so please take care if you are driving on surrounding roads or have breathing difficulties. Crews will ensure the area is made safe before we depart each day.

09.01.2022 This afternoon Wednesday 28th from 1700 we will be conducting a Hazard Reduction Burn on the corner of Mckeig and Woolcoot Roads in Wellard. Please take care when driving on near by roads.

08.01.2022 From today Tuesday 1st December all areas within the City of Kwinana have now entering the Prohibited burning period. This means all burning, including garden reguse is now prohibited. If you see smoke call 000

04.01.2022 This afternoon Friday 23rd from 1530 we will be conducting a Hazard Reduction Burn for a local resident on Balka Crt. This burn will create a fair bit of smoke so please take care if your travelling on nearby roads.
