25.01.2022 We’re excited to announce our partnership with Gordon Juniors to bring you a new chapter for Girls Rugby across our district. The Northern Wildcats is an inclusive Girls only rugby program with teams across U13s, U15s & U17s, and will complement the current playing options for girls here at KWP. Registration is through the same process as all KWP teams (www.kwprugby.com/registration/) but choose the 7s Junior as the registration type. 18.01.2022 At last night's AGM we welcomed some new faces to the committee and thanked some of our long standing committee members. Whilst we're grateful to all our retiring committee members, it was a special thank you to our retiring President Grant Pisani. After 10+ years on the committee and four as Club President, the whole club community is immensely grateful to everything he's done for our club. A true club legend he leaves a legacy that stretches well beyond the paddock. Thanks Grant... hoo ha!

14.01.2022 Dear KWP, it gives me great pleasure to announce that I have been appointed General Manager of Gordon Rugby (Seniors). I will be swapping my KWP stubbies for Gordon stubbies, but I will always be KWP!! One of the things I'm looking forward to most is getting our Gordon Village clubs involved in our Premiership and Club Championship winning Stags. 14.01.2022 2020 has been a challenging year for us all, but as a club and a community we’re incredibly grateful that we’ve been able to play a season of rugby. Each year we round the season off with a Club Presentation Day at which we celebrate the Players and Volunteers that have stood up, stood out and made it a great season for us all. With Covid-19 restrictions meaning we can’t hold a Club Presentation Day, we’ve put together a few of short videos instead. In this first episode we celebrate our Coach of the Year and induct two people into the Lifetime Membership Award, and we introduce a new award, the Spirit of KWP Award. Congratulations to the winners keep an eye out for part two later this week.

13.01.2022 Last Home Game for the U11s today!

13.01.2022 As each event or gala been cancelled, Gordon Junior Rugby has continued to find alternatives to get our players participating and developing their skills at a higher level. We are therefore pleased to announce that we have found a COVID safe way to run a Rugby 7's 5 week development program for players in Gordon starting Sept 6. Everyone in this program will be coached by the Australian National 7's women's coach (who is also the all time men's record points scorer) along... with his team of Aussie 7's national players. It is a great opportunity to learn and train just like the Aussie 7's and for our players be the best that they can be. The Gordon 7s program will cost $100per player and will run for 5 weeks from Sunday 6th Sept @3pm for 90 minutes( location St Ives Rugby Club). The format will include skill development, strategy and 7's matches. This program is open to boys and girls U13 (born 2007 & 2008) U15 (born 2005 & 2006) U17 (born 2003 & 2004) Note, Depending on how to current Covid restrictions evolve we may have the opportunity to select a squad from this program to play in a late spring competition. As you can appreciate this situation is fluid and there are no guarantees that there will be a spring competition, but Gordon is keen to be organised and ready should it eventuate.
