23.01.2022 Some more awesome samples from the year 9 photography class. For this CAT each shoot was based on a particular design element or principle - on the left are some examples of the students photos looking at emphasis (most used colour to create emphasis) and on the right are some examples of texture.

23.01.2022 Holidays and the break from school can be exciting, fun and relaxing, however for some people, it can be an emotional or stressful time, particularly this year. This page of the school website lists support services that are available over the holiday period.

22.01.2022 Vale Ron McCausland. Ron, who died early this week, was the Senior Master at Koo Wee Rup High School throughout the 1970s. Colleagues, students and the wider community remember him as one of nature's gentlemen who would always give everyone a fair hearing.

18.01.2022 Some interesting and amazing art work is produced during remote learning. Here is a compilation of bugs from 710's tone assessment task. Keep up the great work and thanks to Ms Goodwin for sharing!

17.01.2022 From Thursday July 23rd as stated by law, everyone who comes to KWRSC is required to wear a face mask or face covering. For our on-site students this means that they have to wear a mask travelling to and from school, in the locker areas, in the yard and in the buildings. Students can take the mask off when eating or drinking but should wash or sanitise their hands each time they touch the mask. Please consult the information below provided by DHHS for other concerns you may have.

16.01.2022 SCIENCE WEEK Did you know that this week is National Science week? From August 15th to August 23rd we will be celebrating all things science and we have a few activities and competitions happening! Obviously, everything this year has moved online, but we are encouraging students to get ‘hands-on’ with Science at home. We have a Building Challenge and Competition (with prizes for the winners!) and we have set up a ‘Science Week club’ Teams group for those students who are inte...rested in participating in the hands-on activities and want to share what they are doing. For more information, please click on the link below to download the flyers. Students should also ask their Science teachers for more details. We can't wait to see what you produce!

12.01.2022 KWRSC VIRTUAL ART EXHIBITION The art department have launched their first ever virtual exhibition for the year 12 Studio Arts and Visual Communication & Design classes. Normally the students would have the exhibition at school but due to restrictions this is not possible. They didn't want the students to miss out on celebrating the hard work they put into their final pieces throughout the year and to give others an opportunity to admire them. If you click this link you will be taken to the exhibition. Unfortunately, this is not phone compatible so make sure you look on a computer. Just use your mouse to click through and move around the space - you can also click onto each piece and a pop up box will appear that gives you information about the work. Congratulations and well done to all involved!

12.01.2022 To access our latest newsletter, sent to all families yesterday, please go to the school website: http://www.kwrsc.vic.edu.au/uncate/october-12th-newsletter/

10.01.2022 End of Year Program begins Monday! Please note that the canteen will not be open during EYP so students who will be attending need to bring their lunch and snacks. Our brand new Year 7 students will be attending an Orientation Day on Tuesday the 8th of December, so EYP will not be running for other year levels on that day.

10.01.2022 Here is some of the great work produced by the year 9 visual communications and design class. Not only have these students moved through an entire design process from home but then learn a new graphics program from scratch to create their awesome food van logos. The engagement and enthusiasm shown by them all shows what we can achieve remotely when everyone is onboard. Well done all!

09.01.2022 FREE DRESS DAY AND FUNDRAISER Tomorrow is our last SRC fundraiser for the year. Students who wish to wear free dress need to bring a gold coin donation that will be collected in the morning. There will also be icecreams for sale at lunchtime for $2.

07.01.2022 Have you and your family been involved in our virtual 3km fun run or walk? It concludes this Friday but there is still three days to get some exercise in, record it, send your results to Miss Notman on Teams and win house points for your house!

06.01.2022 Please be vigilant in your own and in your children’s social media use today. A timely reminder, in National E-Smart Week, of the dangers that can sometimes lie in social media apps.

06.01.2022 Have you ordered a copy of the school magazine for 2020? Due to the lockdown periods this year, the creation of the magazine was pushed back and we are hoping to have it delivered in the first week back next year. Students who have left the College will still get their magazines!
