25.01.2022 As the classes fill up with our amazing clients participating in the KX40 we have added new times to the schedule. There are more mid morning and lunch time classes than before. If you have any preference on additional class times please drop us a comment below or send an email to [email protected] Remember to add yourself to a waitlist if the class you hope to attend is full because then as soon as someone cancels out of their class you will be able to take their spot We hope to build this schedule to suit everyone, at all times



25.01.2022 FRIDAY nights at 630pm and MONDAY mornings at 1045am with Amelia These classes are suitable for pre and post natal clients, who may or may not want to bring bub along to class One condition is that bubs are not yet crawling (or walking) as this creates a bit of a struggle to keep them occupied whilst you are working hard on the Reformer. The classes are challenging but also tailored to your changing body. It is also a wonderful sense of community where you can openly ask questions and share stories about your journey

22.01.2022 ATTN TO THE MEN WHO HAVE SO FAR JOINED US FOR A PILARTY - THANK YOU!! We have had a bunch of fun pushing boundaries and getting comfortable with the unknown. There is a lot of stigma surrounding Pilates and who can do it, the answer is everyone! For the month of November we decided to open up a time, a safe space for men to step outside their comfort zone and try something new. MOvember is about changing the face of mens health. The money we raise this Movember will help fund... life-changing mental health programs, groundbreaking research and scientific breakthroughs for cancer treatments. "We've just passed the half way point, so we wanted to reach out and say thank you. The funds you raise will change men’s lives, while drawing much-needed attention to important men’s health issues. The schedule looks a little slim at the moment but we will definitely be adding more classes as soon as possible. Otherwise, next time youre in the studio pass on the info to your trainer so we can accomodate you as soon as possible.... If the class you want to attend is full then jump on to the waitlist. If you get bumped in you have 2 hours to confirm your spot via the KX app. This means that if you are in the class and can no longer attend it would be great if you could cancel out (even if it is last minute) so that some one else can enjoy the class. With most of you having spent the last 10 weeks away from a Reformer it will take a few weeks to find your feet. So that we can cater to your needs, the schedule will mostly consist of beginner classes which are kept simple so that you can focus on skill and personal progressions. We will teach you how and why to perform exercises. We will add m...ore intermediate and advanced classes over the first few weeks so that as you regain strength and confidence we are continuing to challenge your coordination, flexibility and strength as it develops. Dont hesitate to jump in to these classes!! They will take you to the next level of awesomeness we know you have. 07.01.2022 As we wrap up week two of being back in the studio we wanted to reaffirm a few things. The first few KX classes are probably going to feel weird. Like you are learning a new language. Whilst you are sweating and moving and being amazing you are also working against constant resistance and maybe the floor feels like it is moving. You are learning to control your body in ways you may not have done before. That means it is expected to feel clumsy, fatigued, unconfident and eve...n trepidation. This is totally normal and to be expected. Your body is going to have to adjust to added work load so that means you may need a few extra zzzs and litres of water to help regain equilibrium. However, in the next week or so the adaptation to these extra efforts is going to start showing some epic results. Your energy will skyrocket, you can start taking extra challenges and your body will be seeing some results. Keep pushing! The best is yet to come!!! 06.01.2022 We have spent the last few months in reset mode thanks to covid-19 and as such we have reset the studio. We have considered the wellbeing of our community and scheduled the majority of classes as Beginner, to start with. As everyone is becoming familiar with terminology again and seeing increases in compentency with their movements it is time to start challenging ourselves with Intermediate and Advanced classes. In this super quick video you can see Amelia layering exercises ...with various progressions. In each of our classes we sequence according to the previously established skill set. BEGINNER classes ---> teach basic principles of pilates, explain reasons behind the chosen exercises and benefits of training them, focus on one muscle group at a time, encourage body awareness, improve balance and coordination. We offer intermediate spring options as well so you can build the strength to take the next few challenges life (or your trainer) throws at you. These classes focus on technique and are suitable for all fitness levels. INTERMEDIATE classes ---> start building complexity and use combinations of movements to engage multiple muscle groups and multiple plans of motion in a single exercise, less breaks means more cardiovascular fitness. They build upon a foundation of understanding. They are challenging but fun and will help you go from competent to super strong. ADVANCED classes ---> involve a huge amount of brain work, proprioception, coordination and work by flowing from one sequence to the next seamlessly to give you the ultimate cardio, strength, balance, super hero style workout. They are fast-paced and relentless! Our trainers will always offer you progressions, regressions, spring options, prop options and share a wealth of their knowledge to help you be the best version of you. Time to consider your next best decision to help yourself be the strongest version of you too! Maybe you can alternate classes or try a new spring load. 01.01.2022 FAQs Is it safe to come back to Pilates? Yes! We are following strict government guidelines. The studios have each undergone a thorough clean prior to reopen and will continue to be cleaned prior to and post each workout. Clients and staff must follow KX hygiene procedures at all times. ... Why do I not have a 2sqm space to work out in? The 2sqm rule applies to the number of people who are allowed in the facility. For KX East Victoria Park we are safely allowed 85 people, however our classes sizes are maximum 14 to allow for social distancing. The beds have been spaced out so that there is more than 1.5m between headrests with social distancing markers in the waiting area. Please, do not arrive to class early. Remain in your car or outside the building up until 5 minutes prior to class start time to ensure we are not congregating in communal areas. What happened to my previous class credits? Your pack(s) have been extended for the period of time we were shut due the enforced COVID regulations. Its as if time has stopped. Please check your accounts and continue to book as you normally would. Why are there different trainers on the schedule? We anticipate a number of trainers will be returning to the studio over the upcoming weeks as we all return to our routines. Unfortunately, some of our beloved trainers may have had to relocate temporarily for a variety of reasons. You may see some new names on the timetable; all of which are incredible KX Instructors that have gone through KX Academy and will be sure to give you the burn you all know and love. Why is the class timetable different? In line with changes in lifestyles and habits, we have modified our schedule to accommodate. Soon, you will see the timetable grow once again! How far in advance can i book my classes? We have extended our booking window back to 40 days ahead of time. That means you can plan your month ahead and be sure to choose your favourite class times. Can I still access KX At Home Workouts? Yes - The pre-recorded workouts are available and complimentary to KXers with active packs. These workouts are available to enjoy anytime via the KX App. I forgot my towel! Can I workout? Yes. You can hire a towel from the studio for $3. However, no towel means no workout. I forgot my water bottle. Can I workout? The water station is temporarily closed. A pre-filled water bottle must be brought to studio to workout. Do I have to wear grip socks? This is a personal preference. It is not mandatory but many clients prefer to wear grip socks during a KX workout.
