25.01.2022 19th September, 2020 Parkland Golf Report Golfers were back with a vengeance at Parkland for the Medal Event on Saturday. With plenty of confusion of what stage golfers were at, were put on the back burners as the good scores resulted with the markers set on the plates. Irene Paynter was the standout for the women carding an impressive 43 points to win C Grade as well as the Medal. Runnerup was Kathy Risstrom with 40 points. A Grade was won by Lana McInnes on 32 points. Runne...rup was Rhonda Cox also with 32 points. B Grade was won by Mary Trimby on 37 points with Daphne Jewell runnerup on 35 points. A happy John Thompson won the mens’ Medal as well as the C Grade trophy with 41 points. Runnerup was Roden Brady with 40 points while Phil Plumb was next with 39 points. Vin Sleeth won B Grade with 40 points after a countback from Mick Sullivan. Third was Vaughan Moss with 37 points. Tom McConchie won A Grade with 37 points while Ray Falla was runnerup on 35 points. Ball winners were Bev Howard, Jan Gentle, Pam Spokes, Sue Reid, Vanessa Laidlaw, Pauline Laidlaw, Tony Lassini, Kjell Johnsen, Barry Williams, Greg Ryan, Peter Price, Rob Reid, Greg Woods, Bernie Elliott, Barney McDonald, Gary McKenzie, Mal Baker and Bryan Prendergast. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS: Just a reminder that the Men’s Club Championships will be commencing on Saturday 3rd of October followed by days on the 10th:17th and 24th.The Ladies championships will be on the 6th:13th:20th:27th of October. The event will be Best 3 out of 4 rounds. To qualify: Five rounds of individual competition golf must be played since June 1st,2019. MEMBERSHIP: A special new Member’s membership commencing October 1st, 2020 through to November 16th ending 31st December 2021 is only $170. 20.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION Long POST Please Read All - From This Sat 19th September Competition Golf will resume at Parkland (MENS & LADIES STABLEFORD this week). Sat, Tues and Wed will return to booking sheet on board at clubhouse - GROUPS OF 4. You can call office 3-4pm Friday on 58523146 or 0409079541 for information or bookings. Current bookings for this Saturday - the 2s will be merged into groups of 4. JUST A REMINDER ABOUT OUR COMPETITION GOLF Sat - 9am -1.30pm or lat...er depending on numbers. Tues - 10am -1pm Wed - 10am - 1pm Competition Fees $10 for members $17.50 for non members. Please bring correct money to minimize cash handling. When all your playing group arrive, report to the office 10 MIN before your tee time - please refrain from being 1hr or more early for your tee time. Mark your own score card and record a playing partners as well. Sign your own card and place in return box. Presentations on Saturday will take place approximately 4.30pm abiding by all COVID RULES and will be live streamed via facebook. Trophies - individual tally for each player to be converted to Chamber Vouchers. Limits on numbers in clubhouse - 10 people inside and numbers outside as outlined by Government Guidelines. CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020 - Cross fingers we can play our club championships for 2020 in OCT. More important Information MENS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS - Sat Oct 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th Womens CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS - Tues Oct 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th Best 3 out of 4 rounds. Must have played 5 rounds at Parkland to qualify for championships June 2019-Oct 2020 *Match Committee has the right to alter the conditions of play throughout the championships ie- groupings and covid conditions. Presentations and further information to follow. Golf Australia have updated their directives to play for COVID -Practice facilities may reopen, with a usage limit of ten people per 100 metres. In practical terms, this will mean for the majority of clubs/facilities that practice facility use will be capped at ten. Hire equipment including pull buggies, motorised carts and range balls can again be offered to golfers. It is extremely important that all shared equipment is thoroughly cleaned before and after each use. Shared equipment, eg bunker rakes, are required to be sanitised following each use. You should be aware that the Managing play in a COVID-19 environment document continues to be available for use by clubs/facilities and the implementation of the local rules contained within it are there to help clubs/facilities manage these requirements. Motorised carts may be used by 2 people that reside in the same household. Golf Australia continues to seek clarification on and lobby for 2 people from differing households being able to share a cart. Keep updated here for further information.. See more

18.01.2022 Parkland Update: Wednesday Mens day : shot gun starts returning 9.30am for 10am this week. KPGC annual general meeting has been rescheduled and will now be held at the clubhouse on Tuesday, November 24th @ 7pm. Nomination forms are in the clubhouse.... TUESDAY GOLF: shotgun starts will recommence on Tuesday, December 1st. Names to be in (either by phone or person) by 8.30 for a 9am start. $10 per player

16.01.2022 November 21st, 2020 PARKLAND GOLF REPORT Saturday’s golf was played in warmer conditions with the smart ones hitting off real early. Seventy seven contested the stableford event. Ray Falla was the outstanding A Grade golfer carding 40 points while Tom Curnow was runnerup on 35 points after a countback from David Kuiper. B Grade went to Tom Haigh with 38 points while runnerup was Brendan Ryan on 36 points. Graeme Gordon was third with 35 points after a countback from Peter Cla...rk and Harry Wayland. C Grade was also a 40 point winner for Les Harrison. Kjell Johnsen was runnerup on 39 points. A visitor from Trentham Gavin King was third with 36 points after a countback from Troy Pearce. In the women’s event Christine Kelly won A Grade with 35 points. B Grade went to Bev McLay with 34 points while Lyn Bailey won C Grade with 35 points. Jackie Pearce was second with 33 points. Ball winners were Mary Trimby, Bev Wickham, Rhonda Cox,Vanessa Laidlaw,Troy Pearce,Andrew Phillips, Harry Wayland,David Kuiper,Vin Sleeth,Peter Clark,Noel Bailey,Geoff Ward,John Thompson and Tony Potts. At the day’s presentation Captain Les Mitchell recognized the Life Membership of the Goulburn Murray Golf Association awarded to Club secretary Peter Fraser for outstanding services to the former Goulburn Valley District. Fifty three players were involved in the stableford event on Wednesday. Ray Coleman won A Grade with 39 points. Runnerup was Bob Troy with 36 points. B Grade went to Allan Williams with 37 points well clear of Vin Sleeth 34 points for second while Harry Wayland was third on the same score. Luca Campanelli shot the lights out in C Grade to record 41 points. Runnerup was Noel Bailey with 37 points while third went to Ken Risstrom on 36 points. Ball winners were Fred Roberts,Ray Falla,Greg Woods, Paul Price,Trevor Risstrom, Mick Sullivan,Wayne Ferguson and Steve Walsh. Congratulations to former junior Member and former Club Champion Cooper Gentle at the weekend who won the Rich River Golf Club Championship defeating a twelve time winner in Ben Docking. Rod Donohue finished with 43 points for the stableford event to win C Grade. 10.01.2022 NOVEMBER 28TH, 2020 PARKLAND GOLF CLUB REPORT John Thompson added his name to those who have had a Hole in One in Saturdays’ stableford event at Parkland. Playing the tenth, Thommo used his trusty driver to create that bit of magic. He was unable to confirm his shot had gone in however playing partner Graeme assured him that it was home. It was JOHN’S FIRST EVER HOLE IN ONE. Common sense took over when close to sixty players decided to hittoff early thus missing the heat. ...Heather Sleeth won the woman’s A Grade with 37 points. B Grade went to Bev Wickham on 37 points. Doug Cox was the winner of the men’s A Grade with 35 points after a countback from David Kuiper and Tony Potts. B Grade went to Bradley Edwards with 36 points also after a countback from Vaughan Moss who was runnerup. Harry Wayland finished third also after a countback from Mick Sullivan. C Grade went to Ken Risstrom with 42 points. Runnerup was Rob Reid on 40 points. Third was Jacob Cartwright with 38 points. Ball winners were Lana McInnes,Naomi Cartwright, Nola Arnold ,David Kuiper,Mick Sullivan,Russell McLay,Graeme Gordon,Bill Hogan,Chris Harmer,Tony Potts and David Matthews. Tuesday’s well attended Annual Meeting at Parkland saw the changing of the guard with local resident Fred Roberts taking over from Lynne McLean for the position of President. Mr Roberts indicated that he would attempt to re-introduce the social side of golf after Covid 19. Even though there was lot of golf missed throughout the year the Club s’ finances were in a better position than the previous year according to Treasurer Mal Baker. A net increase of over 120 new members has boosted the coffers. Other executive members elected are Peter Fraser Secretary, Peter Fawcett takes over from Mal Baker as Treasurer, while Les Mitchell will remain as Captain. Other backup support will be Kathy Bell,Bev McLay and a new face in Ray Falla. Wednesday’s men stroke event saw some flash scores with none better than Jason Norman and Paul Price. Jason put it all together to card a 67-21-46 to win C Grade. Runnerup was Les Harrison on 73-18-55. Third went to Charlie Anderson on 74-19-55. Paul Price shot the round of the day to card a three over 57 for a 49 net off his 8 handicap. Runnerup with also a good score was by Sam Attardi with 60-11-49. Trevor Price won B Grade with 68-14-54. Graeme Gordon was second on 71-17-54 while Vin Sleeth was third with 69-14-55. Ball winners were Ray Coleman,Peter Barrette,John Bauerle,Trevor Risstrom, Murray Maxwell,Mark Percy,Kevin Jewell,Allan Williams and George Saynor. First round of the Ron Stagg Memorial Matchplay Knockout continues with the round to be completed at the end of this week. Leading scores in A Grade were Ed McQuienn on 62 while Ray Coleman carded 63. Former champion David Cartwright along with Jason McKenzie and Peter Fawcett all finished on 64.
