24.01.2022 Well, another successful health night was held last night at the Kyabram Masonic Centre. With a shade over 40 community members attending. They went home armed with new & powerful information to continue the journey of improving their health. The biggest take-home messages; to reduce the risk of disease & premature death we need 150mins of exercise per week. That's 30 minutes for 5 days. ... Learn the F.A.S.T method of recognising signs of strokes If you are using Herbal medicines; consult your Naturopath, Pharmacist, Doctor or Dietician to ensure they won't interfere with any pharmaceuticals you may be using Ask your GP about the General Practice Management Plan, to ensure continual care as you age. A huge thanks again to Emma from Kyabram District Health Service - KDHS, Anita Stirling from Ambulance Victoria, Darlene Weeks from Darlene Weeks and Amy Francis from Waranga Medical Centre.

12.01.2022 The Kyabram Masonic Lodge has thrown its support behind the Kyabram Book swap with a $1000 cheque to assist with running costs. "The book swap is a fantastic initiative of the Kyabram P-12 College VCAL students, and the Kyabram Masonic Lodge is pleased to support the young people of Kyabram through this impressive initiative" said Ky Masonic Lodge spokesperson Dan Spencer. The book swap is swimming with books presently and has enabled an otherwise empty shop to have some acti...vity in it throughout the day. The concept of the book swap is, if you have books you no longer require, drop them off at the book swap. While you are there, browse the books that have been donated by others and take one to read as there is nothing quite like the touch & smell of a real book and the more hands real books pass through, the greater the stories that book can tell. The Kyabram Masons raised funds through raffles conducted at their own lodge meetings, and from members own charitable actions to enable the lodge to help other worthy community organisations. Book Swap spokesperson Jamie Dempster said "the donation would assist the project well in to the future with rent, electricity and book storage costs".
10.01.2022 Brother Mike Perry gave an account on the history of emu egg carvings that have been given to the care of Kyabram 225 from the former Jubilee lodge in Rushworth. They were presented to Jubilee in the very early part of the 19th century by Brother John Orme. Not alot is known about Brother John Orme so if you have some info, please get in touch with us here.
08.01.2022 Well with Freemasons Victoria having cancelled lodge meetings until January. It is a perfect opportunity to do some much needed maintenance on the Lodge building. Thanks to members donations and other fundraising throughout the year we have had the floor refurnished. This building is a fantastic asset for Kyabram and it is available for conditional hire pending Covid19 restrictions.... Call 03 5852 3736 for information on hiring this fantastic facility.
