16.01.2022 Dear Students, Parents and Guardians, You may have recently heard the news that some of our students will now be returning to school during the first week of Term 4. Like you, we are pleased to see this announcement and have some certainty around a return date. At this stage our Prep to 6 students will all return to school on Thursday 8th of October and our Year 7 -12 students on Monday the 12th Of October.... Below is the latest update / directive from the department. It suggests we could stagger the start from the 8th but we are asking that all students in P-6 return on this day. We believe that it is best for students if we can have them back learning onsite as soon as we are allowed to do so. ~ From Monday 5 October specialist schools will continue with the current on-site learning. Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) students (including Year 10 students enrolled in VCE or VCAL programs) can attend on-site for the General Achievement Test (GAT) and essential assessments. Students enrolled in Prep to Grade 6 in standalone primary schools will return to on-site learning from Monday 5 October. Schools have the flexibility to stagger the return of year levels between Monday 5 October and Friday 9 October, depending on local circumstances. Students enrolled in Prep to Grade 6 and years 7 to 10 in P-12 schools will continue to learn from home. From Thursday 8 October students enrolled in Prep to Grade 6 in P-12 schools will return to on-site learning. Schools have the flexibility to stagger the return of year levels from Thursday 8 October to Monday 12 October, depending on local circumstances. From Monday 12 October all school students, including years 7 to 10 and VCE and VCAL students will return to on-site learning. Schools have the flexibility to stagger the return of years 7 to 10 from Monday 12 October to Friday 16 October, depending on local circumstances. ~ Staff will continue to provide tasks for remote learning during the first week of term. Children of permitted workers and vulnerable children will be able attend school in the first week of term 4 from Monday 5th October. A reminder to families who need to have their children at school this Friday. Dismissal is at 2:20pm. #kyabramp12

15.01.2022 Welcome to Term 4 2020 - Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) students (including Year 10 students enrolled in VCE or VCAL programs) can attend on-site for the General Achievement Test (GAT) and essential assessments. The GAT is on Wednesday 7 October. - Prep to 6 students will all return to school on Thursday 8th of October.... - From Monday 12 October all school students, including years 7 to 10 and VCE and VCAL students will return to on-site learning. - Staff will continue to provide tasks for remote learning during the first week of term. - Children of permitted workers and vulnerable children will be able attend school in the first week of term 4 from Monday 5th October. 14.01.2022 Return to On-Site Learning Dear Parents and Guardians, As I have previously communicated, the Premier and Minister for Education have announced that we will return to on-site learning in week two of term four.... Week 1 - 5th - 9th October All students will learn from home apart from VCE and VCAL students attending for essential assessments. Senior students will attend for GAT (Wednesday the 7th of October). Schools were provided with the opportunity to stagger the return of different year levels in the following week. In order to support our students and families, Kyabram P-12 College will welcome all of our students back to on-site learning at the first possible opportunity. Week 2 - 12th October 16th October All students will to return to onsite learning at school on Monday, 12th October. As we return, the additional health and safety measures employed during our last return to school will remain in place. These measures include a significantly increased cleaning schedule around the college and the requirement for staff and students to regularly sanitise hands when entering and exiting classrooms. The bubble taps will remain turned off, so it is very important that students arrive at school with a drink bottle that can be refilled throughout the day, especially now that we are starting to see some warmer weather. Drop off / Pick up Parents should not be on school grounds unless absolutely necessary so students will need to be dropped off at the gates. Extra staff will be on duty to support students. Parents will be unable to enter classrooms/buildings. Parents will need to collect students from the gates at the end of the day. We will not be implementing staggered drop off or pick up times as this could create more issues for parents with students in different grade levels and reduces the learning time in the classroom. Parents will be expected to observe physical distancing measures by not congregating in areas around the school. With the welcomed return to onsite learning, we are keen to make the most of every day at school, however, any staff member or student who is unwell must not attend school onsite. This will clearly support the health and safety of all of our school community. I would like to again thank you for your support during the period of remote and flexible learning. With only one week remaining in Term 3, I will take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and happy term break.
