25.01.2022 Civic Avenue Early Learning has some fantastic facilities. It was great to visit and shoot some really fun content with the kids, educators and parents. This short clip is part of a larger social media package consisting of a range of other short videos and still images.

25.01.2022 Playing in punk bands for years I tend to shoot a lot of videos for punk bands which is something I love but this video was a really cool opportunity to have a play with capturing something a bit heavier. Where the Devil are a metal band from Newcastle and have released this ripping track which was a lot of fun to shoot and edit. Shot in my hometown of Seaham.

12.01.2022 This is an extremely challenging and uncertain time for us small businesses. We are already seeing businesses close with the rest of us fighting to stay afloat. We need to be agile and adapt our processes on the fly to fit within the necessary measures to flatten the curve. Traditionally I am a videographer who shoots and edits video marketing material, training video content, event videography and more. With the social distancing measures in place, filming content on set is ...no longer possible and alternative strategies are necessary to keep the business running. I am fortunate in that as well as running this videography business, I am also an online video content creator (Kye Smith) so my experience in this space has made the transition from face-to-face to online much less daunting. I will be spending some more time live-streaming, giving online lessons and offering other remote services. Whether you are looking for some guidance in setting up live-streaming, require video marketing material that can be produced and delivered remotely, need a video/remote alternative to face-to-face training or just want to brainstorm some ways to keep business running as usual in the online space I would love to chat. 12.01.2022 I recently worked with The University of Newcastle, Australia on a series of over 20 video modules to help support higher degree research students on their research journey. It was an absolute privilege to capture interviews with more than 30 inspirational academics who are experts in their respective fields. These videos cover topics such as Ethics, Academic Writing, Research Methods, Academic Integrity, Endnote and more. During the course of this project I learnt a lot abou...t the research journey and also about some of the amazing research being conducted at The University of Newcastle. It is great to see The University of Newcastle embracing online video to help educate and support their students!

01.01.2022 Lake Macquarie City Council is installing some tidal gates on targeted stormwater drains in the Swansea area to help mitigate tidal inundation. The project is funded by NSW Government, supported by Local Government NSW. We really enjoyed producing this video to assist educating residents about the installation.
