14.01.2022 Hey Team, here is an easy way to prevent shoulder injuries from doing Pull Ups. 1. Most shoulder injuries occur at the top side of the joint because of a lack of ball and socket congruency. The shoulder blades stays down and the humeral head translates up. 2. When you go to the dead hang position at the bottom of a pull-up, you recreate this injury mechanism. 3. Stop a few degrees short of the dead hang and maintain some tension in the joint to protect the shoulder.

I spent 2 days with Dimitry Klokov and for those of you who may not of heard of him, Dimitry won a Silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in Weightliftig and numerous other medals at world championships over the years. It was hard work, but a great experience. This guy is built like a Springbok back rower, he's a beast.
