17.01.2022 There are many ways that each of us can contribute to the War on Waste, the equitable access to food and the support of those less fortunate that ourselves. the local schools are fortunate to be donated a range of staples each week that includes bread, milk and fruit - particularly bananas. In bigger schools this food is gobbled up rapidly, but in smaller schools there is often a surplus at the end of the week and sadly students can be reluctant to admit to needing to take any home. 16.01.2022 Its a myth that employees have to attend work meetings after hours for free. If youre required to attend a work meeting, it is work time and should be paid. ...And that means for the time, not free dinner or some store products (although its fine to get these as well as pay). Do you know the other common workplace myths you should look out for? Check out our info to make sure youre getting the right entitlements: https://www.fairwork.gov.au//myths-and-tips-for-young-work

02.01.2022 We all need to do better at this.

02.01.2022 A few hours worth of work and this what i leave behind. So.much.trash. Most cafes would ship the excess to landfill. Can you really be be THAT serious about... coffee without any afterthought given to the environmental impact we have on the planet? Following a passion blindly is great and all. But ultimately the consequences are dire. This is one cafe. In a few hours. There are millions of cafes operating 365 days a year. Why is this issue being swept under the rug. Nobody wants to talk about it or adress it. Our single use plastics in the industry can not receive a pretty little band aid (the keep cup).... What a joke that is really. When the reality of our eco foot print is hideous Think about it. You can't love fine coffee and not respect the planet.... what an oxymoronic hypocritical mindset. That's like trump walking to air force one with a wad of toilet paper on his shoe. I challenge you to think about this. This is a big fucking issue.
