25.01.2022 Still a few places left for anyone in Brisbane Australia who would like to come
25.01.2022 Totally feels like this sometimes!
25.01.2022 ... Resting is key... Doing nothing is deeply relaxing. In a highly stimulated society it's hard to stop, really STOP. No reading, no listening to music, no plan, just BEING. Gazing out the ocean, walking in nature or near home, resting with no expectation of sleep just the enjoyment of lying, a quiet cup of tea. I did this regularly during lockdown and it was relaxing, recharging, but not always easy. We are so programmed to be 'doing'. How are you at doing nothing? Does it work for you?
24.01.2022 A few simple mindfulness tips we can apply throughout the day. Maybe print this out if you can, or put it on your phone home screen, somewhere you can see as a reminder Or pick a few that resonate with you and focus trying those - see what happens...Thank you #authorina
23.01.2022 One of the biggest causes of our distress is being out of alignment with our inner values, or putting our own needs and dreams aside in order to look after othe...r people or projects. This year it is vital that we begin to live from a place of better alignment to our inner authenticity. Some of our stress is likely to be coming from the fact that our relationship or our job or our to-do list doesnt actually support us on a heart level, or truly reflect who we are on a soul level. So feel into things and then adjust your actions to bring things back into alignment again. As soon as we move from misalignment back towards flow our energy frees up, we feel more positive and the weight lifts from our shoulders. Try it, and youll see what I mean.
23.01.2022 Having trouble sleeping? Have you tried YOGA NIDRA? Great for assisting a deeper sleep, needing fewer hours and waking up feeling refreshed and energetic. ‘Yoga Nidra means psychic sleep. A state of sleepless less In the deep state of relaxation that results, tension is released and the mind becomes clear and thoughts more powerful.’ One of the first meditations I did for stress relief from a CD! || RECENTER 4 weeks of meditation in December. 23.01.2022 You’ve got this people! More being, less doing. I make time to sit outside. I look around, and ‘free mind’ just letting it all flow... You have to resist the urge to do things, so be strong. The more you do it, the more you notice the benefits.
22.01.2022 It couldn’t get much simpler - hug and be hugged
22.01.2022 Resting v restless So true how our nervous system switches into agitation, anxiety and stress when we dont get enough rest. Your well-being is the most important tool in your journey through this life. How can you bring a little bit of doing nothing and rest to each day?
22.01.2022 It’s me! Yoga posing My dream is to help human beings manage life challenges with simple strategies. It’s totally do-able!
22.01.2022 == Check out my NEW blog ‘3 tips to recenter and ground’== These are the key ways I look after myself. When I feel centered I can stand strong and grounded through the wobbly times. I'm more likely to act from a clear, calmer place in myself in my relations with others, and the world around me. Try to live with more ease of mind and heart. Totally needed and used these during COVID. Love
21.01.2022 Read the first few bullet points - sound familiar? Read on! We hold so tightly on to things (well our minds do) and it creates suffering. Step 1: Start by realizing that youre hardened - my approach is to PAUSE and don't do anything. Give the feeling/situation some space and see what happens. Love

21.01.2022 New study If people can recognize that theyre stressed and have a good relationship between their bodies and stress levels, then maybe its less likely that their stress will spill over and affect their mood and behavior... This is exactly what mindfulness does. Increases your connection to your body, emotions and develops your awareness

20.01.2022 Stress is not essentially bad. It’s part of being human we are challenged, we adapt and change. In modern times, our stress is usually mental or psychological. Yes, it’s all coming from mind and our perception of not being able to cope.
20.01.2022 Nor do we need to confine meditation to a formal practice. Make life your meditation!

19.01.2022 It’s ok to not want to work relentless hours. Stress can easily move into burnout or long term dis-ease.
19.01.2022 This is a pretty awesome summary of why it’s hard to meditate. And why sit? Mindfulness asks us to work against the brains natural tendency to respond to the difficult (and the pleasant). We are asked to learn to ‘be with’ our experience with awareness. No wonder it feels hard The antidote = love and kindness, curiosity and gentleness.

02.01.2022 Looking for solutions to help manage life’s challenges? We have a YOGA FOR STRESS workshop coming up NEXT Sunday, 2-4.30, The Gap https://www.facebook.com/event...s/150567302558998/ What happens to our body when we get stressed? If you don’t know, you should. Check out this great short video by Dr Craig Hassed. A stress response is a natural physiological response to a perceived threat, but today the threat is mostly in our mind. Long term activation of the stress response can make us seriously sick.
02.01.2022 Abuse or bullying in a work environment is not acceptable! Sometimes we need to make a hard choice to leave. Putting yourself first is an act of self love. I worked in a toxic environment last year. I remember the day I realised I couldnt continue to work there. Randomly a day later my contract ended suddenly. Sometimes the universe provides when you choose you
