23.01.2022 Think horses enjoy a pat? Think again. This is one of the many interactions which, from the horse’s perspective, is unusual or downright rude.

21.01.2022 SBS Insight featured Veterinarians in last night's episode. The stories were horrifying and inspiring. Mental Health is not just the "fad" discussion. It's is real. It is individual in its' effects, short and long term. Usually it is not visible. Beyond Blue 1300 22 46 36... Lifeline 13 11 14 The link to the youtube full episode is in the comments. Watching is optional

16.01.2022 Horses are a big part of making us learn about ourselves AND bring joy into our lives. SBIES are doing a lot of work to expose and address the bullying that is rampant through the horse world and we all need to do our part. As outlined in this article, toxic cultures exist at agistment places. Find a healthy happy one. If your instructor makes you feel like shit, work out why; is it because you genuinely need a push (and there must be genuine, long term positive outcomes for... you and your horse)? is it because they want to make you feel dependent on them? Is it because they are the "Mean Girl" most of us dread at school and work? We don't accept bullying at school and in the workplace bullying is illegal, so why do we accept in the part of our lives where we should be in our happy place. Bring happiness and joy into your horse world and in those around you. See more

16.01.2022 Some can't be ridden, others prefer not to be ridden, some owners prefer to keep their feet on the ground (not their bums!). We have horses in our lives for joy, love and the lesson they teach us

14.01.2022 More changes! Masks must be worn. As clarified below, if I am visiting your property to massage/MFR etc your horse, you are required to wear a face mask too.

14.01.2022 This 4+ minutes of joy popped onto my feed this afternoon

13.01.2022 Last night's storm was a ripper. My older dog (12yo) gets stressed about storms now she is ageing. After becoming a exceptionally heavyweight on me (I could breathe... just), we put on the TTouch Anxiety wrap. within 15 minutes she had settled and slept the rest of the night. I had an old stretchy horse leg bandage handy Below is a link to an article about the Anxiety wrap with simple explanation on how to apply. Note it is not from a TTouch site. For more info on anxiety wraps and the origin of thundershirts search Tellington Jones TTouch or use this link - https://ttouch.ca//body-wraps-from-a-sensory-perspective-/ https://petcrew.com.au/1443-2/

12.01.2022 I'm not an EA or EV member. Many years of trying to deal with industry organisations has made me look behind the smoke, mirrors, and turds that glitter. Do your own investigating

05.01.2022 Covid-19 spike in Victoria. Due to the Covid spike and high susceptibility of myself and my family, I will be limiting appointments and travel for the next few weeks. Fingers crossed Covid spike drops away soon. As my GP advised "you can do all the precautions you like, but if the person at the petrol station or shop etc isn't doing the right things, you could be in trouble"... Stay safe and stay healthy

01.01.2022 Take care everyone
