16.01.2022 This week I have decided to post why should you use a graphic designer. Many businesses like to cut corners and save money buy doing it themselves and this can end up a costly exercise, as often the design turns out not only looking unprofessional, but will not achieve the same results as a professional design. So here are my reasons for why you should invest in a graphic designer. 1. It can save you time. Running a business can be time consuming, so do you really have the t...ime to spend to design your own logo? Have you ever had something go wrong in your house and thought "its just a small job, I can fix it myself" but end up taking more time and effort than you thought? The problem is if you arent a professional then you arent industry-trained, and youre not qualified. So this could end up costing yourself more time and money than if you had just invested in a professional in the first place. 2. A graphic designer can help you to stand out from the rest and get noticed. Whether it is something as simple as a resume or complex as branding solution styling trends are always changing, so a professional designer will know whats in and whats out for the season and for your business.Having a distinct brand is what is going to help you to stand out above your competition. 3. Do not use cheap, crowdsourcing or design contest websites. With these type of sites you only end up getting just the art work and nothing else. Graphic design should be a process. A designer should creatively take your ideas and develop a strong visual concept that will reinforce your core message, communicating it clearly to your intended audience and a template logo or one you bought cheap online is not going to help you stand out from your competition. 4. Maintaining consistancy. A designer will be able to advise which font style to use and will keep sizes and colours consisitent ensuring the overall look and feel of all your materials will consistently capture your brand and get you noticed. An experienced and professional graphic designer will know how to best-utilise your design and market your brand, whether it is for logos, letterheads, brochures, web pages, sign-writing, or advertisements.
