21.01.2022 With the confusing mixed messages we are getting from the media, its hard to know what is considered "Essential". AACMA released a statement regarding acupuncture this morning: "Chinese medicine is a registered profession and is regarded as an allied health profession by the Federal Government. Allied health is regarded as a primary health care service and thus serving an essential need".... I have infection control/hygiene procedures in place and will be treating in clinic this week. Boosting your immune system and reducing stress at this time is a priority. Feel free to message me or my clinics with any questions. Take care of yourselves. Kylie

18.01.2022 You know how much we love to help women going through menopause here... Well, did you know what Acupuncture can do to help menopause? Theres some pretty amazi...ng stats on the improvements with Acupuncture in reducing hot flashes and other symptoms. AND, the fascinating part is how Traditional Chinese Medicine all fits into the hormonal changes happening. You see, from a TCM perspective, its all about your Yin and Yang. Although theres lots of aspects to your unique picture from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, one of the big changes that occurs with menopause is a change to your YIN. Thats right, baby its all about the yin to yang balance! (Plus a lot of other factors, but lets stick to the one thats the least confusing). YIN is... the Feminine the Nurturing the Cooling YIN is affected by estrogen. As estrogen levels drop during peri-menopause and menopause, Yin starts to deplete as well. We refer to this as Yin deficiency. When there is not enough Yin there is empty heat in the body, which is what causes many menopausal problems like tissue dryness, flushing and sweating. Yin and Yang sit in balance with each other, so if Yin starts to deplete, then Yang becomes dominant. Yang is fiery and masculine. It is the heat, and Yin is the cooling. When there is not enough cooling to balance the heat, then heat wins! And balance is lost. Acupuncture helps to lift Yin in the body to bring that balance back, and work on systems in the body that need support which are unique to your picture. Check out more in our blog And, if you need a session with our lovely Acupuncturist, Kylie, she is available over the Christmas period on select days https://www.vervenaturalhealth.com//how-acupuncture-can-he

16.01.2022 Acupuncture can be an alternative treatment for depression as it helps increase neurotransmitter levels (NE, BDNF, 5-HT) which can be low in those managing mood disorders. https://www.healthcmi.com//1996-acupuncture-alleviates-dep

11.01.2022 I hope you are adjusting to the new normal. While Covid 19 has affected many peoples livelihoods and health, it has also given us an enforced time out to reflect on what is important. My hope is we dont go back to normal and we get back to our roots by cutting away the excess stuff to live in a more grounded and sustainable way. What has become clear is our health is a top priority, without it we have nothing. Traditional Chinese Medicine has been instrumental in tr...eating the pandemic, with herbs and acupuncture playing a key role. Acupuncture is a great way to strengthen your immune system and address imbalances in the body to keep you and your family in the best health possible physically and emotionally. Start your new normal with an acupuncture tune up to check where youre at and create a plan for how you would like to feel. I am back in clinic Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, with after hours appointments available. 09.01.2022 YES, AACMA REGISTERED PRACTICES CAN REMAIN OPEN We are aware that many members are confused with the messages from the Federal and State Governments. Here are t...he facts to help you navigate around this confusing and unprecedented times. Current Facts as of 23/3/20: Chinese medicine is a registered profession and is regarded as an allied health profession by the Federal Government. Allied health is regarded as a primary health care service and thus serving as an ESSENTIAL NEED. Essential means absolutely necessary. So if patients have a bad back or even a cough it is ESSENTIAL to THEM to get treatment. Our industry falls under both PRIMARY and ESSENTIAL. Primary is a ranking. Whatever is deemed as FIRST or MORE IMPORTANT falls under primary. The World Health Organisation regards traditional medicine practices as primary care and the Australian Government regards us as allied health and therefore primary care. So, yes you can choose to stay open. https://www1.health.gov.au//NPHC-Strategic-Framework~phc-a *All information is current as of 23/03/2020. AACMA will update and inform all members and clients if and when the situations change.
