22.01.2022 We all know that reflection is an essential part of our practice, as small business owners and as teachers. I wonder though, how often do you reflect on your reflections? Which of the following three scenarios do you relate to the most? 1. You think about your day, identify your mistakes and then curse yourself for your errors.... 2. You take notes and tell yourself you will look at those before you do that thing again but you never actually do. 3. Set specific goals, reflect on your achievement in those areas, reward yourself for the wins and set specific goals for the identifiable gaps? Which of these three reflection styles do you think is most effective? Which do you think will see you progress fastest in your business or career? 20.01.2022 A favicon or browser icon is that tiny little pic that shows next to your site name in the browser tab. Adding a favicon to your site adds credibility and is just too darn cute! To add a favicon to your Squarespace site: 1. Create your favicon in Canva... 2. Open a custom design 100px x 100px 3. Design your favicon to suit your brand but remember that something simple will render much better in such a tiny image. 4. Download the design as a .png file. If you have Canva Pro you might like to make the background transparent. 5. Sign into your Squarespace dashboard. 6. Click design > browser icon 7. Upload your file and you are done! 19.01.2022 I woke up in a real slump this morning. Last night I spent hours in flow designing my new templates and creating amazing resources for my clients. This morning I had to face my day job. I couldn’t get out of bed, I couldn’t find pants, traffic was slow and then I accidentally dropped my swipe pass which fell down three stories to the ground below. As I arrived at my desk I find this little card left by a colleague. Do you think the universe is speaking to me? Tell me... what would you do without limitations?

18.01.2022 MY HUSBAND HAS A SUPER POWER. I don't know how he does it. Seriously. That man decides he wants to sleep and snap... sound asleep. Meanwhile, I lay face up, I roll over, I put on my face mask, put the fan on, turn the fan off, check on the kids... nothing. Is there a secret? What am I missing? Tell me I am not alone.. please?

15.01.2022 I have been working away like a busy little bee over here in my corner of the web. I've been doing my research and designing like crazy to delivery products that serve you better! My website is currently on soft launch and I am keen for feedback. 12.01.2022 As small business owners and as teachers trying to reinvent ourselves outside of the classroom, we feel pulled in so many directions. There are so many things we ‘should’ be doing to be successful. A few ideas have landed in my lap recently that have come together to create a bit of an ‘ah ha’ moment and I’d love to share them with you. What if instead of trying to change to become something else I focus on growing more into myself?... What if I focused on growing my own strengths, just I do for my students. What if, as an adult, I stop looking to follow someone else’s ‘curriculum’ and write my own? My people are out there, loving what I do because they can relate, not stressing about whether I have the right marketing formula or business formula. They get value from what I do and are keen to hear more. Give me a in the comments if you agree. Don’t leave me hanging!

07.01.2022 Writing about yourself is one of the greatest challenges when you are writing your own website copy. You need to put aside your own ‘stuff’ and talk yourself up. How can you be relatable and down to earth but also show your professionalism and skills? Because of this challenge, many people avoid talking about themselves and make the mistake of talking all about their clients in the about page. What a wasted opportunity to connect with your ideal clients ... Just don’t do it! To write copy that is effective in building relationships and credibility you should 1. Show your face 2. 02.01.2022 SITE LAUNCH - PHOTOGRAPHER I am so excited for the launch of my custom design for Holly Riley Photography. Holly is such a talented wedding, birth and family photography based in Brisbane, Australia. It was a dream working with her imagery in creating her site. Good photography makes all the difference! By picking up the natural tones from Holly's logo and photography I was able to create a gorgeous backdrop which allowed her art to really shine.
