18.01.2022 It’s been a while since I’ve been present on social media, Covid-19 stopped me in my tracks and to be honest I haven’t really known what to say. I’ve just watched a business I’ve put over 16 years hard work into crumble in front of my face, an industry I love fall to pieces and have been absolutely heartbroken for my clients having to undo their dream holidays. Although I’m feeling battered and bruised, I’m still here, I’m still working every day fighting for my business ...and my clients, I’ve just been doing it silently. I’ve wanted to tell my clients, family and friends about my experience over the past months but none of it’s been nice and I wasn’t sure that anyone would understand or even care. I’ve also never been one to share my pain, frustration and sadness publicly, just the thought of expressing myself this way makes me anxious but it seems like the right time now and although I still don’t feel I have the right words to say myself, hopefully this article written by Andrew Buerckner helps say it for me, if you’d like to take the time to read it. I know there are more days to come where I'm going feel like I've been kicked in the guts and want to give up but there are days like the last few where I can see a light at the end of the tunnel where I've actually been making bookings instead of pulling them apart! These are the happy days and I hope for many more to come for me and everyone else in the travel industry and the other industries that have suffered over this time. To my wonderful clients who have supported me throughout the past 6 months, thank you, you mean the world to me. The kind words, the gifts and most of all the promise you will be booking with me as soon as we can travel again has kept me going. I know you’ll be there for me in the future so I also want you to know that my business is not going anywhere either!
