20.01.2022 One big healthy hack I have for you is to give up your toxic perfume I know! This is a hard one! BUT they can cause respiratory issues, skin irritations & worse....disrupt your endocrine system! Your hormones! And they build up over time in our bodies with studies showing they can affect our reproductive system This sounds a bit full on, I know but they can literally be quite bad for us! ... Some people make their own which is amazing! You can do it with flowers & water! I use doterras touch oils & im always mixing it up! today only there’s a special on! Or LOVES a bit of Mexican?? it can be SUPER healthy or can be the opposite really easily The seasoning & the wraps are the main things to focus on. ... below is a taco seasoning recipe for you. It’s healthy & tastes even better than those packets you can buy! (That are full of preservatives, colors & oh so much salt & soooo many numbers ). Then the wraps! You can make your own but I get it, #mumlife! So just know what to grab at the supermarket! allll those numbers and vegetable oil! Highly inflammatory for our guts. minimal ingredients. Inulin is a good source of dietary fiber. So the mountain bread was by far the best choice on the shelf! 17.01.2022 Okay girls! Who gets moody? Irritated? Bloated? Intense cramping? Sore breasts? Your not you?any other symptoms? You are not alone, so many suffer BUT you can take control of it ... All these symptoms can be due to estrogen dominance, especially in your late 30’s & 40’s as your ovaries produce less progesterone. BUT you don’t have to be a cranky witch Your liver is your hero organ! He filters out all that extra estrogen you have in your body. So it makes sense to look after him! 4 steps for you! You get to DECIDE if you implement them or not. Your health is always in your hands 1. Reduce your toxic load- this includes what you put in your body, on your body & is in your environment. Swapping to clean beauty products & ditching toxic household cleaners is going to be the quickest way for you to do that! A drop of an essential oil or 2, some white vinegar & water to clean your whole home & save yourself money while you’re at it! Filtering your water is also key. I can link you with a couple of good filters if you want to start there. 2. Reduce stress. Your livers toxic load will increase with more stress. When you are stressed, your body produces more cortisol which then goes on to have an effect on your entire endocrine system. Meaning massive hormone imbalances. What are you doing for daily self care? Do you have some anchor points in your every day that can calm your body back down? 3. Fix your gut! If you have an imbalance of your gut flora then you can have issues with not just your liver, but every system in your body! There’s even bacteria in your gut that can help remove excess estrogen....but this won’t be happening if your gut is not in balance! (Seriously guys FIX YOUR GUT HEALTH ). And inflammatory foods like dairy & grains can increase your estrogen levels. 4. If your body is lacking in certain nutrients & minerals, your liver won’t function as well. I can get those levels checked for you. Stress & your diet will mean that almost everyone is depleted in even our most vital vitamins & minerals our body needs. my biggest problem? 15.01.2022 How did I recently lose 4kg in a week!? I’m quite a thin person but the weight I lost was fluid from inflammation! It hangs around in different places for different people! For me it was tummy and thighs but I’ve noticed the fluid fall off everywhere! Even my butt A really common question I’ve been asked a lot lately is ‘which foods are causing inflammation in my body.’ ... I speak a lot about inflammation foods and limiting or cutting them out. If you really DECIDE you’d like to make a change to your health, mood, skin, appearance & so much more, I say start there! And it won’t always mean forever! Which foods are inflammatory!? a food sensitivity test will work out what foods are causing you grief, specifically to you! (I can get this testing done for you so just reach out). Things that generally cause inflammation are: -processed foods- see what happens when you just eat actual real food for a week & nothing more -sugar -dairy-the biggest game changer for me! You do get used to having almond milk in your hot drink guys! Now when I’m accidentally served cows milk, I can’t believe I used to have it! So trust me, it’s what you get used to. Stick with it & you’ll be fine -gluten & grains- another big one! Think about all the pasta, bread, cakes etc we eat. A big part of our diet & huge amounts of inflammation. don’t get overwhelmed. Just one swap at a time then you layer it up over time. I started swapping gluten products for gluten free. Cadbury chocolate to dark chocolate (70%+ cocoa). If you know me, you know I was eating 2 blocks of chocolate a week..the big ones! Matt teased me with fruit & nut (my fav) today & I was like, I actually don’t want it Cows milk for almond milk. My plate 80% vegetables, 20%protein (instead of the other eat around). Just start there! Just one of them! It’s all habits. All the foods you eat. If you want to make a change to your health, just small steps. One little change. Then you layer on the next! love to hear one thing you’ve been thinking you will change below! #the_busyness_mumma
14.01.2022 By committing to less can commit to more things bring joy. I used to feel so uncomfortable saying ‘no.’ I guess you don’t like to let people down but also, the more you commit to, the more you feel life is full or something? Like that’s how it’s supposed to be? #overwhelm ... This has helped me. I use 4 quadrants & in any one day I commit to one thing from each quadrant- me, family, home & business/ work. It’s a great way to have some balance too! I know loads of you reading this are overwhelmed with all your commitments right now. Learnt to say no. It does get easier to say especially when you journal out your priorities. Well I’ve now interviewed over 50 busy mums who say it’s a massive downfall! so today I got busy & created 50 healthy snacks & popped them into one recipe book for the people going through my ‘healthy habits’ course that starts THIS Monday Enjoy just one of them on this post ... Habits such as bad snacking can be for a number of reasons BUT you can change the habit if you have the will power to! The easiest way to do that is to be prepared to change it! Having the right tools such as good snacking recipes, make them a few ingredients & easy to make or can pre-prepare for the week. Remove the ‘bad’ snacks from out of the house. And did you know that when you start eating more whole foods that give your body more minerals & nutrients it needs, you will have less cravings! Your body & brain will be more satisfied. 04.01.2022 So yesterday I was late up as I had a late one getting some @kerwinrae homework done & I threw myself out for the day For one thing, did you know studies have shown, when you go to bed & get up at the same time each day, you have a better quality sleep AND fall asleep faster!? I also missed my morning berry shake (first time in a long time) so didn’t rehydrate my body straight up, I was less focused, tried to hydrate later in the day so was up peeing last night & just did...n’t have as much energy buzzing through my veins as I get from the chocolate nutritional support I add in there! When you’re onto a good habit, keep at it basically! It’s all trial & error. I find great habits through science but also people who are highly successful! I watch them!
