Student visa grants are up 6 per cent in YTD August compared to last year.... Key results, for YTD primary student visas, include: - Onshore grants grew at a faster rate (12.6 per cent) than offshore grants (1.9 per cent), with onshore accounting for 40 per cent of visas granted in YTD August - Higher education experienced the greatest growth (7.8 per cent), followed by ELICOS (6 per cent) and VET (4.8 per cent) - Both the post-graduate research sector and the school sector experienced declines, by 4.6 per cent and 0.5 per cent respectively - Of the top 25 markets, 14 experienced increases. Main change: Student will able to submit 2nd visa 485 from Jan 2021 with 1 year and 2 years duration. Conditions as below A/ Conditions of visa 2nd 485 with 2 years duration: 1. Currently holding visa 485 (post graduate stream) for 1st time 2. Graduated from Regional centre or other regional area 3. Live, work and study in Regional centre or other regional area 2 years while holding the 1st visa 485 4. Regional centre or other regional area: all area except Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane và Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Newcastle/Lake Macquarie, Wollongong/Illawarra, Canberra, Geelong, Hobart.
