25.01.2022 MRNA 2020 Tournament Update (COVID-19): We are sorry to announce that we are cancelling our Annual Macedon Ranges Netball Association Tournament due to Corona V...irus (COVID-19) as per recommendations from the Government and Netball Victoria. Without knowing how long this virus will last, the MRNA Executive committee have made the decision to cancel rather than postpone the 2020 Tournament. This year we were incredibly grateful to have had 70 teams register, and we were set to host an amazing tournament. We were expecting approximately 1500 to 2000 players, coaches, umpires and spectators. This number exceeds the number of people allowed for a non-essential events from next week. We would like to wish all players, and associations the best of health and we look forward to seeing you back at our tournament in 2021. For further information regarding Netball Victoria’s stance on the Corona Virus please see https://vic.netball.com.au//netball-victoria-statement-cov We will be in contact with all associations to refund the team registration fees. Kind Regards, Katie Duoba President Macedon Ranges Netball Association

20.01.2022 Hello to our Kyneton Netball families, Sadly the MRNA Winter Netball Season has been cancelled due to COVID-19. It was determined by the MRNA Executive Committee and all club Presidents that to run the Winter competition this year would be very difficult. ...Continue reading

17.01.2022 25/06/2020 Dear Netball Community RE: Cancellation of our 2020 Winter Competition.... With great sadness we wish to announce the cancellation of our Macedon Ranges Netball Association Winter Competition for 2020. After much consideration, the MRNA Executive committee and club presidents have unanimously agreed to cancel our 2020 season. There were multiple factors that influenced this decision. These include: Recent spike in covid19 cases on our doorstep the well being of our extended netball community the added burden of the Netball Victoria Return to netball guidelines and the associated measures that would need to be stringently implemented. and the uncertainty of accessing the Netball Pavilion at the Macedon Ranges Netball Complex. On a happier note we are looking at running a twilight competition later in the year, and we aim to have our Ladies Midweek competition back in the second part of the year. Both are pending further advice from the State Government, Macedon Ranges Shire Council and Netball Victoria. A discussion has been held regarding refunds of MRNA and Club fees for the winter competition, refunds will be through your club. Please stay tuned as we finalise these. The Annual General Committee Meeting is scheduled for Monday 3rd August. Further information will be provided closer to the date. Finally, thank you for your patience whilst we worked through options and scenarios and tried our best to get a season up and running. A big thankyou to the MRNA Executive committee and the clubs for all the hard work in the background. A huge thankyou to Bendigo Bank for their ongoing support. We look forward to seeing you back for Twilight and 2021. Kind Regards, Katie Duoba President Macedon Ranges Netball Association

05.01.2022 Hi Kyneton Netballers, Parents and Carers, The aim of this email is to keep you up to date with what is happening with Netball training and game play as a result of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) as soon as we have information to share. Macedon Ranges Shire Council have closed the Kyneton Sports & Aquatic Centre (KSAC), effective today for at least 1 month, this will affect our Term 2 Training. ... Other organisations including Netball Victoria have suggested suspending competitions until at least the 14th April. Information regarding COVID-19 is changing daily and we will try to update you as soon as we know more. Effective from today KNA are suspending all training, we hope to start training again after the 14th April in conjunction with the availability of KSAC, however this is all dependent on the ongoing situation and advice from health officials and Netball Victoria. MRNA have moved the start of the season from the 28th March to the 2nd May. Please note that this is also subject to future change depending on the ongoing situation. Our aim is to have Netball up and running as soon as it is safe to do so. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Kind Regards, Kyneton Netball Association

02.01.2022 When I hear the word ‘pivot’, I (mostly in my head) plant my right foot firmly on the ground and swivel. Those old school Kyneton Netball Association drills are... deeply embedded. But this year is a whole new ball game. Wendy McLaughlin launched her travel manager business in 2019. It was really starting to take off. Until. So, she’s pulled a pivot and established a sister business delivering virtual assistance. Helpful stuff when you want someone else to manage the mute buttons for your umpteenth zoom meeting. With all of this Wendy needed a vibrant LinkedIn profile that cohesively shared the business stories. It was a fun one to write. You can discover Wendy at https://au.linkedin.com/in/wendy-mclaughlin-beyond-me

02.01.2022 Come say hello to our wonderful volunteers and support the @kyneton_netball_association. To all our teams, have fun and enjoy round one! #netballvictoria

02.01.2022 To all Players, Parents & Coaches Thank you to those of you who responded to our request for feedback on the return to Netball Training, we greatly appreciate the feedback you have given and the level of detail some of you went into with your responses. It has been decided that we will hold off on training for now, and we will wait until all students are back at school to see what is happening in the community. ... The feedback we received was mixed, some wanting to start training, others wanting to wait and some who were unsure how it would work. It was lovely that quite a few of you showed concern for our coaches and understood that there would be a lot of extra pressure on them if training were to commence. The MRNA clubs met last night via a Zoom meeting, and at the moment no MRNA clubs are training (so we are all in the same position). Some clubs are meeting with their committees this week to discuss what they will be doing regarding training. We will continue to review this as restrictions ease and keep you updated as we know more. Kind Regards, Kyneton Netball Association

02.01.2022 @kyneton_netball_association would like to congratulate the coaches appointed for the 2021 season. KNA are in good hands and we look forward to a successful season! Go tigers #netballvictoria

01.01.2022 Netball Victoria is delighted with the Victorian State Government announcement today of a road map for the return of community sport in Victoria. We will take the time to process the detail in these announcements and provide further advice as soon as we can.
