20.01.2022 Excellent News - Our 3 year Events & Festival Grant submission with Macedon Ranges Shire Council was successful. The Grant will allow us to add new events to our 10 day festival, as well as upgrades to our website, and some much needed safety & audio equipment. The Grant scheme previously was yearly, and very onerous on our volunteers. Special thanks to Michelle Head and Marg & Eric Derricott for the huge amount of work they put into the submission. Special mention to all our... Sponsors and supporters, without you, the festival would not be as successful as it is. 07.01.2022 Festival Iso Scarecrows Competition now open Now that the COVID-19 restrictions are being relaxed a little the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival is calling for entries into its well loved scarecrow competition this year on-line as well as displayed in home gardens, the community or businesses. It is now time to make your scarecrows, obtain an entry form and send your entries and photos to the Festival via our web page, social media (facebook or instagram) or by post to PO B...ox 59, Kyneton. ‘Displaying your scarecrows on our online pages will at least allow people to experience some spring joy if they are unable to see all of the scarecrows on site.‘ Festival Secretary Marg Dearricott said. ‘You never know what lonely and surprising iso-crow you might see on your way to school or in the shops.’ ‘Our competition will commence on Thursday October 1 and we look forward to receiving entries by then with the judging on line for the best taking place on Wednesday October 28’ Marg said. ‘Look for our entry form on our webpage www.kynetondaffodilarts.org.au or email [email protected] ring 5422 2282.’ ’ This year being an extraordinary COVID-19 year, entry is free. There are four categories with modest cash prizes for first and second - best individual or family entry, best community entry, best business entry and best on the theme ‘Iso-crows’.
