17.01.2022 Let us take a minute's silence as we pay our respect and remember all those who have served and protected our country since the First World War. Today in particular we acknowledge the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Of the thousands of men and women that have gone to war, many never returned home to see their loved ones again. We will remember them. Lest we forget.

13.01.2022 VIRTUAL DANCE SESSION FOR TREEHOUSE CLIENTS The team at the Treehouse continue to embrace virtual technology with their first online dance session held yesterday afternoon. Three treehouse clients, plus the dance instructor (a regular Treehouse volunteer) and Treehouse coordinator, Dora Mansbridge, logged in to the session. ... Dora is pleased with how the trial went and plans to continue to offer this to clients in the coming weeks: Dance is a regular feature of our usual Treehouse program, so it’s great we can continue to offer this whilst we wait for our program to resume face to face again. It was so lovely to see our clients enjoying the music - Annie and her husband were up and dancing, the rest of us bopped along and clapped to the music. It was lots of fun and a great circuit breaker from the usual routine, said Dora. Future sessions will remain small to keep clients engaged and troubleshoot where required. With this year’s Dementia Action Week theme being ‘A little support makes a lot of difference’, we hope these virtual sessions will continue to help our clients and their carers feel connected to our services. We can’t wait to get back to dancing in person!
