25.01.2022 FUN FACT .. In 1988 the action film "The Punisher" staring a Kyokushin Legend @dolphlundgren was filmed in Sydney Australia .. This is a picture taken at the time of the filming. Dolph and my 2 sons, Anthony on the left and John on the right... .. Most of the extras in the movie were Kyokushin students from my dojos in Australia .. I also had a small cameo in the movie .. OSU .. I have dedicated the past 55 years to Kyokushin. 18.01.2022 Black belt & 30 years dinner: On the 10th February we will be holding the customary black belt presentation night. As we have now completed 30 years at our current dojo, we will also extend this night into a 30 years celebration night.... The Bondi junction dojo has hit a great milestone - no doubt it is the oldest karate club in Australia and we can only put that down to the great support over those years by some really great people. So even if you are no longer training, you still helped make it to our 30 years, so come along and help us celebrate two new black belts and 30 years at Bondi junction! 13.01.2022 End of year Break-up & Camp The last training session for 2018 will be on Friday the 21st. We will return for the first training session in the New Year on the 2nd January.... On Friday 21st the Childrens class will run as normal, the adults class will be a 45-minute class, after which we will then meet on the 1st floor of the Tea Gardens Hotel for our end of year drinks. If you cannot make the training, I hope you will come along to the after-training get-together! If you have not been at training for some time, I hope you will still come along as everybody is welcome! 2019 Summer Camp. Please be advised that the camp in now half full. So, if you wish to attend the camp for a great weekend of training or you need to be there to grade, you should get your application in ASAP. Osu

11.01.2022 Osu everyone Just a friendly reminder that not only is the camp/senior grading + junior grading just over 2 weeks away there will be the annual Kempo Ryu Australian tournament held the following week ( 3.5 weeks away). If you are competing please ensure you fill in your registration form asap to ensure it is submitted. A great tournament for children and adults who are looking to gain experience for the upcoming tournament year in non and full contact fighting as well as kata.... It is also an exciting event to witness- so even if you are not fighting come along on the day, support our fighters who have been training hard for this and have a drink afterwards in the Rocks. Shihan Marc is recognised World-Wide as one of the foremost teachers of Kyokushin Karate, His unique style of training brings a wealth of experience into the class and any one who misses such an experience will have lost a great opportunity that may never be repeated in Australia. All instructors should be there from all the Sydney dojos, such an experience will give you a new and fresh ideas to take back to your dojo when taking your own class. If you are not from the Bondi dojo, you are still more than welcome, the class starts at 6.30pm. Let have big night and a big welcome for Shihan Marc! See you all there. Osu

I cant remember the name of the black belt next to me .. On the 1st and 2nd of November in 1975 the first ever world championships was held under the International Kyokushin Organisation in Tokyo, Japan... .. There were teams from 35 countries .. Katsuaki SATO was the first ever world Kyokushin champion in 1975 (second on the left in this picture) .. Peter Wolf was the first Australia Champion .. OSU ..
