18.01.2022 Time to have some fun online.

18.01.2022 HOME DOJO TRAINING DURING LOCKDOWN. I know its is hard to motivate yourself to train by yourself at home. By nature we human beings like to do thing together with others. Thats why the AJKU Musashi dojos are running Zoom training sessions online with the Torquay dojo Zoom classes on Monday nights at 6pm and many other Musashi dojo classes at other times during the week. BUT!!!! We need to do more if we want to continue to improve and develop in our karate training. We n...eed to practice at home BUT SEMPAI, I CANT GET MOTIVATED TO TRAIN BY MYSELF. I hear you say!!! For me, I have set myself a goal and I am determined to reach that goal and I am working hard towards it and nothing is going to get in my way. Thats what motivates me. For you it might be that next grading, or that next tournament or to perfect that kata you have been working on, or to simply keep fit so you are class ready for when we can all train in the dojo together. The important thing is - to set a target and aim for it and dont give up. Train hard and I hope to see you in the dojo in the future. Osu Sempai Ken.

Thank you for supporting your children by bringing them to the dojo, sun, rain or hail. A special congratulations to Hayden and Lucas on attempting their 8th Kyu (Blue belt). A very focused and determined karateka who displayed a great deal of maturity under a lot of pressure by standing out there by yourselves in front of so many people. Well done ! 04.01.2022 Osu everyone Congratulations and thank you to all competitors, officials, and helpers. Special thank you to Shihan Ritchie, Sensei Wayne and Sensei Rocky for organising and holding this wonderful event. To our dojo members Shane, Tianni and Hayden that competed on the day, a BIG WELL DONE! You all showed great sportsmanship and Kyokushin spirit on the day. Tianni placed 2nd in her kata division after having to perform kata again due to her drawing with another competitor... for 1st place. Hayden placed 1st in his kata and non-contact division. Shane had a long wait and finally got his opportunity to compete at the end of the day in the heavyweight full contact division. He fought well, and the training he had put in was evident. Shane placed equal 3rd and we are sure he learnt a lot from his experience as did all competitors on the day. Special congratulations to our 'new' Shihandai Rowan Stephens. Once again thank you all for participating and helping on the day. Osu! See more

04.01.2022 Last Sunday Shane Pittendrigh of Torquay dojo entered the AJKU virtual Zoom Kata tournament. Shane performed well to finish in second place in his division. A big thankyou to Shihan Ritchie and Sensie Hiroko for organising the event. Osu Sempai Ken

03.01.2022 Great thing about our modern world and technology. During this pandemic where I have been stranded in the Philippines I have been able to continue my Karate training via Zoom classes and train with the Torquay dojo students. This morning, Sensie Hiroko organised a great Zoom class which was run by Sensie Mel Noble who lives in Queensland. This class was attended by students and instructors from all dojos in the AJKU and I think that I can speak for all when I say we learnt heaps and it has certainly inspired me to keep training in these Covid19 times. Thankyou Ritchie Suzuki Saunders & Sensie Hiroko for organising the class.

02.01.2022 AJKU Musashi Dojo - Special Training for Sosai Oyama - Founder of Kyokushin Karate Osu everyone and Dear parents, ... This is an open invitation to everyone who wish to join in. If you havent joined in our Zoom Live Class before, please send your e-mail address to [email protected] I will then send an invite to current Zoom users as well as new users.
