A bulls immediate value to any breeding program is through the progeny he produces, whether that be through natural or A.I joining, he will ultimately be judged by the progeny he directly sires. The influence he has however is far greater and understanding his role, and the role past sires have, on the calves you produce this year is the key to realising genetic gain. Read more here

25.01.2022 **BULL SALE UPDATE** 1/4/2020 We are still continuing with the bull sale this Friday at 1pm, however the sale will be online at Auctions Plus Only in a Helmsman style sale where all bulls are for sale simultaneously.... There will be no on site open cry auction. Bidding can be done by logging in to Auctions Plus on your computer, phone or tablet. Alternatively your agent can easily bid for you. If you would rather bid yourself and cant log in, I have contacts available that can do the bidding for you over the phone. Please let me know if you would like to do this, as soon as possible. If you possibly can, we really recommend coming and inspecting the bulls prior to 1pm on Friday or at least phoning me for up to date opinions and descriptions. Im sorry that the sale has gotten complicated but Im sure you will agree, at the moment everything is complicated! We are very lucky to be on farms and in agriculture.
