01.01.2022 ATTN: ALL YOUNG DRIVERS We now have, specifically for young drivers an Insurer that is COMPETITIVE IN PREMIUM AND ALSO DOESNT APPLY AN AGE EXCESS For young drivers (Aged 17-25) Insuring a vehicle can be an overwhelming process as there are many different insurers around with varying covers and excesses.... As more young drivers are involved in accidents than older drivers, most insurance companies charge higher premiums and excesses for drivers under 25. Yes you read that correctly, other insurers charge an age excess of $1,000+ however this insurer only charges the basic excess and you specify that amount, this can be as low as $250. This will also be beneficial for the parents of young drivers who often insure a car in their personal name and do not declare their children to try and avoid these higher premiums but unfortunately sometimes forgets that a higher age excess still applies.
