In some things you can get some great deals, but sometimes (and this is often the case with technology) the cheaper option actually ends up being more expensive... because it's not quite right, so you spend more time and money on tweaking it, or because it breaks much sooner. But that doesn't mean the most expensive option is the best. How do you choose? * Consider how you're going to use the item - make sure a computer meets the specs you need ...for how you use it, but not so over spec'd you're paying for stuff you simply won't use. * Consider quality and intended use - an outdoor device is perfect for withstanding the elements, but perhaps there were other sacrifices made in the device that make it not so ideal when you're using it for an internal space. * If unsure, ask someone you trust that understands your aims and the different options available. You don't want to find you buy cheap and end up having to buy the slightly more expensive one as well because the cheaper one was insufficient to the task. See more
