25.01.2022 Here's a little fun for your chilly Monday morning. As most of you will know Miss Dani is due to bring another little dancing baby into our dance family in about 12 weeks (my gosh where has the time gone ). So we thought we would play a little gender guessing game with you all. Cast your vote below by commenting if you think Little Miss Evie will be getting a little brother or if you think she will be getting a little sister. If you already know the gender Shhh make sure you keep it a secret, it's more fun that way. We will reveal baby McLachlan's gender tomorrow morning. Happy guessing

17.01.2022 Happy Halloween Everyone! With such a crazy mixed up year this year it was so great to be able to watch our Performers students showcasing their talents out in our community. 14.01.2022 Just a short message to update you from your Principle and Acting Principle..

13.01.2022 2020 EVENT POSTPONED It is with deep regret that the Bundaberg Combined Ballet Association announces the postponement of the Bundaberg Festival of Dance for 20...20. Under the advisement from the Australian Government, there is a restriction on non-essential public gatherings of greater than 500 people. This restriction will impact the Festival of Dance scheduled for April 2020. All entries will remain valid, and the competition will be rescheduled for a later date. We understand this is a major inconvenience, but we feel it is imperative that all entrants are informed sooner rather than later in order to cancel accommodation and current arrangements to attend the festival. The postponement of such a large event has many flow on effects and will require the patience and support of our entrants, sponsors, volunteers and dance families. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding with this and hope to see you all in the near future. Please keep an eye out for updated details regarding the new dates for this competition. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Many thanks Bundaberg Combined Ballet Association

10.01.2022 Hey Mums Please sign this to make it easier for us to open next term. Thanks Sue

09.01.2022 April 1st marks the beginning of Autism Awareness Month in Australia, a cause that is near and dear to our hearts here at LA. We asked one of dance mums what this means to her and her son when it comes to dancing ... "April is Autism Awareness Month. Except in my family, it's also the other 11 months of the year. But when Sam's dancing, you don't see the autism label. You see a child having an amazing time on stage, dancing his little heart out & that credit goes to the bea...utiful teachers. They are always welcoming and we never feel judged if Sam's have a meltdown or misbehaving - everyone is so understanding. It's definitely why the LA dance motto is true 'Where Dance Meets Family' " Sam isn't the only student with autism that attends LA Dance Academy and as long as we are teaching dance, students of all levels are welcome to join our community. If you would like to learn more about this amazing cause and how you can show your support, head to https://www.goblueforautism.com.au/

04.01.2022 Hi Everyone We are very excited to share that Miss Caitlin P has been fortunate enough to land herself a full-time job. What this means for the studio is that we have had to make a few adjustments to our timetable as her work hours have now been changed. I have attached a copy of the updated timetable and have highlighted around the classes effected in blue. ... These changes will take affect as at Monday 23.03.2020 (this coming Monday). My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. As you can appreciate all of our fantastic teachers are now all working full-time jobs in conjunction with working many hours here at the studio. For this reason it may mean that our timetables are slightly adjusted occasionally but please understand we will keep these changes as minimal as possible. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks Miss Dani

01.01.2022 Hi LA Dance Family My apologies for the delayed announcement but we have been researching and making enquires as to how the new closures will effect our dance school and wanted to have all information before making a decision on how to proceed. At this stage we will be operating as per normal. Please remember that the new timetable changes do come into effect this week. ... We will also be implementing some extra precautions around the studio so as to adhere to new guidelines for indoor areas. - all students are to continue practicing good hygiene eg. wash hands before and after classes - our waiting area in the foyer will now be closed. We ask that parents walk their children to the front door of the studio where a teachers will collect students and escort to classes. Teachers will then escort students out to parents at the end of class. - if you are feeling unwell we ask that you please remain home and if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 to please self isolate and seek medical advice - no contact will be allowed during classes - all equipment including Barres, Acro Mats etc will no longer be in use As always we will be constantly checking with all resources regarding COIVD-19 and with government bodies regarding closures and how the effect our dance community. We appreciate your patience and understanding in these uncertain times and will continue to inform you as the situation unfolds. Kind Regards The Team at LA Dance Academy

01.01.2022 Today the Australian Government has made an updated statement in regards to Covid19 and how this effects the running of non essential businesses, specifically this means that we have had to take a look at how this information will effect the running of LA Dance Academy. As per the Public Health act 2005 we are required to close down LA Dance Academy effective immediately. This means that there will be no classes for the rest of the term. It is unfortunate but we are firm beli...evers in doing all that can be done to eliminate the possible spread of this virus. As you can appreciate the situation is ever-changing and we do not know when LA Dance Academy will be able to re-open. At this stage permission to re-open will be granted once the end of the public health emergency is declared, or the the direction is revoked or replaced. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful parents and students of LA Dance Academy! Everyone has been so fantastic in following the strict hand hygiene and social distancing rules we have enforced in the last week or so to ensure protection of all Students, Parents and Teachers. We simply could not have done it without you! We will make sure to keep in touch with everyone over the coming weeks. If you have any account enquiries that you would like to settle please contact Dani or Sue via email or the Facebook Page and we will make sure to get back to you ASAP. Its not goodbye, its just see you later! Take care of one another and stay safe. Dani and the Teachers of LA Dance Academy.
