15.01.2022 I am not a fan of Italian restaurants normally, as I find most mediocre with overpriced pasta and Australianised food. Thankfully La Famiglia is a fresh change ...to that norm. Valerio and his team are warm and inviting. The chefs are actually Italian. Bags of Italian 00 flour sit by the counter, proof of handmade pasta and pizza dough. The dining area is well laid out, with COVID safe spacing and some outdoor seating. For Primo Piatto we shared a mixed appetiser platter, Fritto Misto - a tasty combination of crumbed mozzarella, ricotta & spinach dumplings, polenta chips with Gorgonzola dipping sauce and ham & mozzarella panzerotti fritti (dumplings). I was keen to try the anchovy & mozzarella panzerotti fritti, but hubby baulked! Pizzas were offered with a bianca (mozzarella only) base, or San Marzano tomato & mozzarella base. It was difficult to choose, but we finally settled on a Salsicce with smoked mozzarella, Italian pork sausage, roast tomato and rocket. Absolutely delicious. A properly fermented sourdough crust baked to perfection and just enough toppings. This is not your overloaded commercial pizza, but instead a return to what pizza should be. We had just enough room to share a tira misu for dolci. There is a decent wine list with a variety of Australian and Italian wines. We drank a lovely bottle of 2019 Pasqua Pinot Grigio delle Venezie, followed by a limoncello shot after dessert. La Famiglia also carry Jindabyne Brewery Pilzner on tap, which is brewed locally and highly recommended. We left feeling happy, satiated and keen to return. For a change, I will be ordering the handmade pasta next time!

05.01.2022 Hi all ...Unlike the instructions we’ve all been following these past weeks, we are going to be as transparent and clear as possible . Opening our business with the new limited seating capacity is not a financially viable option due to our limited seating capacity . We will therefore be operating as we have been, providing a take away and home delivery service from Wednesday to Saturday until further regulations are lifted....
