23.01.2022 The first time I saw Simon in his turn-out gear, he was raising money for the Variety Club of Tasmania. Plenty of sh!ts and giggles went down in that time, along with a few brews! Tomorrow, Simon will don the gear again, but this time it will be as a member of the TFS team heading to Queensland to assist in some of the most catastrophic fire conditions in living memory. Thankfully, our customers are safe in David Eiszele’s hands, and we couldn’t be more grateful for such a ...wonderful crew. Simon’s number (0419518152) will be out of action for a week or so; so please give me a buzz on 0407837749, or alternatively, give our Cramp Bros office a call on 6234 5088 and they can put you in touch with myself or Dave. To all out there, may the wind find its calm, and may the rain create rivers of liquid gold! Stay safe - Jess.

21.01.2022 Our little family have settled in for an Easter at home this year! Thank you for your ongoing support through some of the most unprecedented times, and from our family to yours, have a safe and happy Easter!

19.01.2022 Sometimes it's a pleasure to get an opportunity to work on motoring royalty. The owner of this fine piece of history should be very proud of the time and effort they have put in to maintain a vehicle to this standard.

19.01.2022 Its been a busy few months in the shop with several big projects on the go. The mainline is finished this morning after some extensive mechanical restoration and will be on its way to the Deloraine car show this weekend. What a way to travel...#oldschooliscool

Therefore, we ask that you reschedule your booking with us, if:... - You have been overseas in the last 14 days, or are undertaking self-quarantine - You have been in direct contact with a diagnosed case of Coronavirus - You have any cold/flu type symptoms Please note that we are undertaking extensive cleaning processes on vehicle arrival AND departure to ensure that both our staff AND our client's health is protected. 18.01.2022 Can’t wait to start the engine builds on these 2 big girls. Little man with a hammer in one and the other a general tidy up, gasket and seal replacements along with some body and chrome work. Old school is still the coolest thing around...

15.01.2022 **EXCITING NEWS** From the 4th of January, 2021, we will be expanding into a SECOND site - taking over the Lenah Valley Service Centre! We are honoured and humbled to step into the shoes of the existing owners, as their reputation stands proud in the Lenah Valley community. We look forward to assisting existing customers, and to continue to provide the highest level of service, as did Doug, Brendan and Vicki. We promise to do you proud! ... For our existing customers, you will now be able to choose which site is more convenient for you, and we will still be offering our pick up/drop off service from both locations. The support we have received over the last few years is overwhelming. The journey from operating in our home, to having two sites has ONLY become possible because of you all. And finally; we started La Macc because our son was diagnosed with autism. We were told he would never talk/never have a ‘normal’ life. Simon worked two jobs and started the business to ensure Jess could give George the additional therapy he required. We are thrilled to say, he has grown even more exponentially than our business; and we couldn’t be prouder of him, and how much he has achieved, and how much we have achieved as our little family Thank you, each and everyone one of you!

14.01.2022 One thing that we do here at #LaMacc is snap photos of damaged components. Seeing the damage can give you a better understanding of the process of repair, and also alleviate any fears that all work that has been quoted has been undertaken. Wouldn't it be nice to know that you are getting exactly what you pay for? #LaMacchina #DontSettleForSubStandardRepairs #KnowWhatYouArePayingFor #ExcuseMyPhotographySkills

13.01.2022 *RANT AHEAD* Picture this: Simon and I receiving multiple 5 star reviews for our service and workmanship, and contemplating shouting ourselves a cuppa to celebrate, as all these reviews increase our presence, and our ability to source new clients... when BAM! A one star review lands in our face #ThereGoesTheCuppa #AndOur5StarStreak In the age of online communication; it’s so easy to detrimentally impact a business with so few words! Simon and I work so hard to serve our cli...ents, and it hurts to see this in the public domain. We don’t always get it right, but I think our strength lies in the fact that if we do make a mistake*; we own it, and we fix it. Please, if you ever want to post a review for any business, whether it be good or bad, please consider the potential impacts! Feedback is great, it’s how businesses learn, adapt and better serve their clients, but smashing a one star review with no feedback doesn’t help anyone. *and the irony is, we didn’t even make a mistake with the client that posted the review

13.01.2022 Well it’s European central at Lamacchina at the moment. Due to our recent rapid rise in work load, positive feedback from customers and approaches from other companies to look after their fleet of vehicles it looks like Lamacchina will be hiring in the near future. If you are interested in a career in automotive mechanical repairs, auto body repair or spray painting then we may be looking for you! Preference will be given to qualified tradespeople but all approaches will be c...onsidered on merit. Apprenticeship places are taken for this year but further placements may be forthcoming towards years end for 2019 apprenticeships. Inbox or email your interest and someone from our current team will make contact for an informal chat. See more

10.01.2022 Assembly commencing today on the sawtooth 318. Have been looking forward to this day for a while now.

10.01.2022 The team here at La Macchina are now in full preparation for Bathurst Simon tells me that as a child he set his scalextrix set up in front of the TV on Bathurst and raced all 161 laps alongside some of the (now historic ) Australian built Fords and Holdens... oh, and congratulations Eagles #BoysAndTheirToys #TheMechanicAlwaysWins #OldSchoolFun

08.01.2022 WELL! What an unprecedented time we find ourselves in! It is these challenging times that make you realise just how lucky you are to have a good team around you. From our office administration to our frontline technicians, everyone has made the most of a challenging situation, has turned up with a smile on their face ready to go about their daily tasks with the uncertainty of what is around the corner, and I take my hat off to each and every one of them for their commitment ...and loyalty. A business is only as good as its staff and clientele and I might be bias but LaMac has the best of both. Our clientele have been humbling, there has been offers of booking cars in for service even though they aren’t due to others wishing to purchase gift vouchers to generate cash flow for us. Over this time and into the future both Jess and myself will never forget some of the amazing gestures that have been sent our way. We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has done the right thing by keeping their social distance and following isolating restrictions so we can return to normal as soon as possible. What can LaMac do to help those in need? We realise 1000’s of people have lost their jobs, we are some of the lucky ones that are still allowed to trade unhindered. We are offering a door to door pick up and delivery service, we aren’t putting a restriction on km’s from our door (within reason) if you need help we will do everything within our power to try and help. Utilise this service and receive 10% discount for staying at home and doing the right thing. We will be launching a LaMacc app in the coming week that will give all of our clients direct access to our booking diary and a heap of other cool features. All of our current clients will receive an invitation and link to join with your own user name and password for activation. All of your vehicle details etc will already be populated on the App. We will also offer a 10% discount when using this mode of booking. Effectively you could book your car from the new app, have our technicians pick up and deliver your vehicle and receive 20% off your service invoice. Now that’s some good news in what has been a bleak few weeks for everyone. Stay safe, stay strong and we will all overcome together!

07.01.2022 Hey guys! Simon, Dave and I are having a well-earned break this Friday 23rd October, and will be out of the workshop. As always though, if you have an urgent matter that needs addressing, please don’t hesitate to give Simon a call on 0419 518 152. ... Happy ‘no-show’ day!

06.01.2022 Tomorrow, we are honoured to be assisting people in the following professions (whilst taking the necessary sanitisation and social distancing measures of course!): - A Woolworths Employee - A Nurse - A Prison Officer ... Shout out to these legends AND everyone in our community who is tirelessly working in these trying times to keep us safe, keeping us stocked with necessities, keeping our power, water and internet running! We salute you. We also understand the importance of minimal interaction, so if we can assist in collection and delivery, please let us know.

05.01.2022 We’ll be closing from the 23rd December, 2020 and re-opening on 4th January, 2021. Unfortunately, we can not take any further bookings prior to our shut-down. Thank you all for your support in 2020, and we’re looking forward to keeping you safe on the road in 2021!

05.01.2022 Hey guys! I could have sworn Simon was faking it again, but, um, oops... He’s quite unwell, and he’ll be in hospital for a few days, but should fully recover very quickly (provided I actually deploy my ‘charming’ bedside manner ). We thank all of you for your understanding, for sticking by us despite the inconvenience, and for all of your thoughts, well wishes and offers of support. We assure you all that we will be in touch early next week to reschedule your booking. Thanks again for #supportingsmallbusiness, Jess.

05.01.2022 This is a conversation I would have with our daughter Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mums out there! May the taxi trips for your children be short and sweet today, with your choice of music

03.01.2022 Simon will detest me saying this, but he’s been a volunteer firefighter for 28 years. For the last week, he’s protected our little shanty in the central highlands, and today he fought with the very best to try and provide asset protection to those in the Huon region. I couldn’t be prouder of him as a business partner, father, husband and all round #TopBloke #VolunteersAreTheShizizzle https://www.facebook.com/510433652440037/posts/1256375544512507/

02.01.2022 Throwback to the year George failed dismally at Easter Egg hunting #BehindYou We will be taking a well-earned break from Friday 19th April, and reopening on Monday 29th April. If you have an urgent issue, please don’t hesitate to give us a call on 0407837749 and we will get back to you as soon as we can. ... Thanks again for your support guys, and hope you all have a safe and happy Easter!
