The prospecting community will be at a loss without Rita’s passion within the prospecting and mining sector. * message from Rita’s family *... Hi everyone, the service for mum will be at 2pm tomorrow, Friday the 24th of July at Tobin Brothers Malvern. Although we’d love to have you all there, due to the current restrictions we are limited to having an online video link to the service (below). We really appreciate everyone’s messages and the support we’ve received over the last couple of weeks, and the breadth of which really shows how important she was to so many people. 08.01.2022 To our followers on FB, it’s now time to reinforce that I Melissa Stopps are no longer the coordinator of this great event. At present I am continuing on as a committee member as I enjoy contributing to this great fundraising and the community that I have helped build. 05.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart that I need to announce to our visitors of the bash and followers of our page that our dear friend ‘Bob Stones’ past away. Bob has been a part of the bash from day 1! Over my 3 years coordinating the bash I grew to know Bob, he was always there to lend a hand at set up and pack up! I could always find my husband at his camp along with all our other mates talking prospecting. Bob always made an effort to come to ‘catch ups’, birthdays, Laanecoorie & t...he Wedderburn Token Hunt. His closest mates will now honour the Token Hunt in his memory and I am sure Bob will always be at our camp fires and in our ‘non judgemental chair circle’. If we have learnt anything from the past weekend it’s to cherish our loved ones, take those photos, make amends (where you can), and go to that event. To all my family and friends that are family I love you!
