24.01.2022 Don’t forget to put your clocks back 1 hour at 3am on Sunday, April 4!
23.01.2022 We wish to advise that our planned race meeting for April 24th this year has to be cancelled. With the track surface change behind schedule we will not be ready for this date. We will advise when the track is fully done and ready for some practice events. However we are happy to still run the Junior Quarter Midgets on 24th of April. Let's keep the future of the sport interested and racing.
23.01.2022 Some photos of drivers and presentations from todays Junior Quarter Midget race meeting.
22.01.2022 With COVID19 stopping us from running the last of our season out it has also stopped our Presentation Night from happening for now. We will determine in the coming months if and when we do something in place of the Presentation Evening. With race dates being sorted for next season its a even harder task this year as we are in the unknown as to if or when the season can and will start. Also with National and State Titles from this season to try fit in also there will be a l...ot more date clashes then normal. And some families might not have the funds to run as much if they have been out of work due to COVID19. We as a committee understand this and just hope that the Speedway community and venues are not to hard done by it all. We will do our best to get our dates and calendar post very soon. We have a few people wanting to register cars and pay memberships for next season which is a very positive step forward, so will post up the membership form in the next post. Thank you in advance for choosing to join Laang Speedway Club. Also when we can we will advise of where and when our AGM will be held. See more

11.01.2022 OFFICIAL RELEASE MELBOURNE SPEEDWAY KART CLUB JANUARY 27 2021 LEADFOOT SPEEDWAY KARTS READY TO ROCK AT LAANG... The 4Civil Solutions Victorian Speedway Kart Title rolls into the Laang Speedway Bullring this Saturday January 30. After rain and inevitably Covid 19 bringing a stop to the running of this event in 2020, its been on for young and old to get the show on the road for 2021. As always the highly anticipated Victorian State Titles attract talent from all classes of speedway, old veterans and new comers all set with the one goal in mind. That number 1 plate and Sash. A stout 59 nominations spread across 7 classes will dawn on the hooky little bullring set amongst the cattle farms for an epic showdown of side by side action for the title. 3 separate kart clubs will compete for the Sub Junior plate with Roc Hughes from Yarra Valley, Jacob Nicol from Melbourne and Kurtis Polkinhorn from Avalon locked in to the 3 kart field. Juniors is set for a battle of ages with New South Welshman Blaxx Caton nominated in the N43 who has a hefty trophy cabinet to back up his experience. Victorian brothers Kai Malley and his younger sibling Cody will be looking to keep the Victorian Title plate in the home state heading in as the in form drivers aboard the M16 and M88. Jack Regan has nominated the Downie Family M122 entry and will also be a very strong prospect. The Junior Standard class is full of developing talent all within reach of stepping up into the senior ranks, they will dice it out in the fastest Junior category. Kai Malley will have double duties in the M88 where he is often the most potent behind the KT Powered Devil Kart. Jack Regan has also opted into the double behind his faithful Jack Regan Racing #7. Four Avalon karters make up the field with siblings Jaxon and Lesha-Jade Swan, alongside Jett Hart and Brayden Orr. The Standard Light class is quite possibly the most competitive with a supreme calibre of drivers all locked into the 14 kart field. With Drivers like the Current Aus1 of Alisha Fielder, Multiple Victorian Champion Jason Loft, Title winning Tahleesha Mayes stepping back in the ring, Avalon master Kenton Ferguson and the always lethal Michael Van Ginneken, the title holder is truly anyone's guess. Torquay's Imogen Mccallum has a few heat wins under her belt now and a new found confidence in her new ride, along with Megan Payne who is quickly finding form making up the 4 lady racers entered in the class. Connor Aunger will be the youngest in the field, making it his first Senior State title just race 2 meetings into his senior season 2021. Standard Heavy has a staunch entry list, one of their biggest of the season, locked into the fast paced clay ring of Laang. Liam Aunger will make his debut in this class aboard the M17 ABR ride with eyes on the prize. The most recent podium of Avalon in this class are all entered also with Trevor Hansen, Clint Alderton and Jake Campbell all in their debut Vic titles also. Devout Local Marcus Hocking is keen to climb into the #55 to try and keep the title plate at home, while guys like Sprintcar steerer Marcus Green and Craig Callow do their best to take it elsewhere. A monstrous Modified class is entered with none other than South Australians Mark Burford and Kyle Lambe making the trek over the border. A powerhouse of experience behind these two, could they be the ones to cause the upset and take the title plate back over the border? Sam Payne has been in real form heading in, with other Yarra Valley members Brayden Whiting and Craig Callow both stern operators. Mick Van Ginneken will do the double duties in this class also, alongside Donovan Meaney who has the package to push it to the front runners. Final Class of the night is none other than the Outlaws who will see the Australia #1 of Jason Loft looking to put on a Lofty-like performance. Mark Burford is entered again, with Tahleesha Mayes and Steph Ginneken both bringing the heat it takes to win this class. The "Wyndham Vale Weapon" Aaron Cook will debut the new look #32 set out to cause an upset. Adin Robertson who has a mountain of Outlaw experience will be getting everything out of the #34 with the always smiling Colin Best locked in to the #88 Saddle. The title format is set in motion for 3 x 8 lap heats and a 15 lap winner takes all Main Event to decide the Victorian Title Holder. On offer will also be the much anticipated Rock Solid Productions best presented award which will be in hot contention with many immaculate karts taking to the grid! All the action goes down this Saturday Morning January 30 with Gates opening from 8am. Canteen will be available all day and a coffee van there in the morning. A covid Safe QR code must be scanned upon entry. Sign In 8:30 -10:30am Scrutineering 9:00 - 10:30am Drivers briefing at 11am and Racing from 11:30! ENDS RELEASE...
