25.01.2022 Keeping our State safe from a resurgence of COVID-19 is essential, that is why SA Labor has called on the State Government to ensure everyone that enters the State from Victoria is tested and is required to isolate under mandatory supervision.
25.01.2022 Who else can't resist Frenchie & co's Apricot Tart? These guys are bringing a taste of France to the North East, and it's exquisite! Hot tip - if you're planning on popping in, call ahead as tables get snapped up quickly.... #supportlocal #StrongCommunitiesWorkTogether
25.01.2022 Richard Harvey MP - Member for Newland, is this really the time to be hiking up State Government fees, charges and taxes? Families are being hit hard in these times of economic hardship, now is NOT the time for the Marshall Liberal Government to make things harder.
24.01.2022 Dont get caught by scam phone calls where you are told you owe money and need to pay it straight away or youll be arrested. The scammer will try to keep you on the line until you pay, often by unusual methods such as bitcoin, pre-paid credit cards or gift cards. If you get a call like this, hang up.... Warn your family and friends to stay alert. More info: www.ato.gov.au//online-services/i/verify-or-report-a-scam/
24.01.2022 One rule for Steven Marshall's Liberals, another rule for everyone else.
23.01.2022 As the weather is warming up, snake sightings have begun. We are extremely lucky to have a multitude of gorgeous parks and reserves on our door step. It is important to be aware of snakes whilst we are out enjoying these areas. Please be wary when you are out and about and make sure your children are aware that there may be snakes around. ... Keep your dog on a leash if you are walking it through a park or reserve. If you find a snake in your home or around your home leave it alone. Do not try to catch it yourself. If it is in the house, close all the doors and confine it to one room if possible. If you see a snake in a public space, please report it to the City of Salisbury on 8406 8222 or the City of Tea Tree Gully on 8397 7444 immediately. If you are bitten by a snake please call 000 immediately.
23.01.2022 Westfield Tea Tree Plaza, you're looking pretty good at 50! A lot may have changed over the years, but this centre is no doubt an icon in the North East! Facebook
22.01.2022 Best spot in the house at The Gully Public House & Garden Today on #InternationalBeerDay, where are you celebrating*? Tag your favourite below.... *Please drink responsibly
22.01.2022 The State Government must immediately launch a comprehensive bid to lure Qantas and Jetstar to South Australia. Luring Qantas to SA would deliver an ongoing, sustained benefit to our economy. There is more than 170,000 South Australians who are unemployed or underemployed. We cannot afford to let an opportunity like this pass us by.
21.01.2022 Great write up about Mr. Jones, the newest cocktail bar based at The Gully Public House & Garden If you pop in for a drink be sure to try The Tom Sellick - it's bold like the man himself.
20.01.2022 Sections of our community have been declared a fruit fly suspension area. If you live in a suspension area: Reduce or stop the movement of your fresh home-grown fruit or fruiting vegetables from your property (and do not remove them from the suspension area). The less movement of home-grown fruit, the less risk of potential spread of fruit fly.... Check to see if your address is in a suspension area here: https://bit.ly/34tBCj7
20.01.2022 Great to see so many out to support the #WomenWalkMovement Recovery Hike this morning! The message from those participanting was clear - no one should have to fear walking alone.

19.01.2022 Sign the petition softoncrime.com to let the Liberal's know that we will not forget that they voted against tougher sentencing for serious sex offenders. They placed politics before community safety, and that is not ok.
19.01.2022 GOLDEN GROVE ROAD UPDATE Works on Stage 2 of the Golden Grove Road Upgrade is set to commence this week. South Australian Labor is proud to have committed to this project when in Government. It is creating jobs and making our roads safer.... Stage 2 works are from Park Lane Drive to Kunzea Way.
18.01.2022 Yesterday, ramping at our Modbury Hospital Emergency Department descended into chaos, compromising the health and safety of staff and patients. Instead of ensuring strategies are in place to address increasing demands on our health system, Richard Harvey MP - Member for Newland and his Liberal Government have been swept up with what seems to be a never ending saga of expense rort's. Our community deserves better.
16.01.2022 What a way to start the day! . . . Friends of Anstey Hill
16.01.2022 Richard Harvey MP and Steven Marshall's Liberals made a clear promise to South Australians at the last election to lower costs. However, despite many households and businesses facing challenges due to COVID-19, they have continued to hit our pockets with hikes to fees and charges such as: Public transport fares... ESL (more than twice the rate of inflation) Car rego What they should be doing is focusing on providing relief to those who need it the most right now.
16.01.2022 How about instead of getting spin doctors on the payroll, the Liberals start focusing on rolling out some projects to boost local jobs? Releasing the North East Public Transport Study would be a good start.
15.01.2022 Just a reminder to take care on our roads. This morning a car went through a guard rail at an embankment out at Paracombe. It is extremely fortunate that all involved escaped with only a minor injury. https://www.adelaidenow.com.au//445c41ed9d4265546b651e7532... The Advertiser

13.01.2022 Solar panel retailers say the Marshall Liberal Government is warning there will be a ban on new solar panels unless these changes are implemented. Changes to home solar panel and battery laws will mean home batteries would not work in a blackout and home solar panels could be switched off remotely. Our environment is important because its forever and renewables can also help create jobs for today. ... South Australia has led the nation with their take up of solar panels and batteries and so, the Government should be sending positive messages to the industry and households to deliver certainty. Not creating confusion.
11.01.2022 Christmas is right around the corner, which means it's time for Peter Malinauskas' Christmas card competition! 11.01.2022 Stepping into Spring with a 50:50 South Australian Labor Shadow Cabinet
10.01.2022 And the Battle of the North East has begun, who will take the win?
10.01.2022 The Superloop Adelaide 500 is one of our most iconic events - we cannot believe that the Liberal's have scrapped it! If you want to see this event saved, sign the petition: www.changesa.org.au/save500
10.01.2022 Nurses have been working harder than ever, to help keep us safe throughout COVID-19. They have been working around the clock, under significant pressure and uncertain times. To then learn that over 100 nurses have been cut from public hospitals is a real kick to the guts.
09.01.2022 IT'S OFFICIAL: Richard Harvey MP and Steven Marshall's Liberals have sold off our trains to french led consortium Keolis Downer. What does privatisation mean for all South Australians? Cuts to services... Billions given to an overseas company Cuts to jobs Higher fares See more
09.01.2022 Apprenticeship targets have not been met by Richard Harvey MP - Member for Newland and Stephen Marshall's Liberals. The latest report from the Independent National Centre for Vocational and Education Research (NCVER) reveals that they are yet to reach the baseline measure of 9975 commencements, let alone the target of 20,800 additional places a 2018 election commitment. Now more than ever we need a State Government that is upfront and transparent when it comes to skills and jobs.
08.01.2022 To all who are about to commence their exams - Good luck, stay true to your goals and be proud of all of your efforts and achievements that have led you to this point! Banksia Park International High School, Modbury High School, St Paul's College
07.01.2022 "Crime Stoppers SA is the only Australian branch to not receive any State Government funding after the Liberal administration in 2018 axed a Labor promise to provide almost $1 million over four years." Crime Stoppers is a vital link between the community and police. They provide SAPOL with valuable information about all sorts of serious crimes. Why won't Richard Harvey MP - Member for Newland's Liberals support this not-for-profit organisation?
06.01.2022 A lot goes into the job of educating and caring for small children. It takes passion, commitment, dedication, and often goes unrecognised. This week is Early Learning Matters week, why not say thank you to your little one's favourite educator by colouring in and gifting this thank you card? https://bit.ly/39TGrmr Tea Tree Gully Childcare Centre, Tea Tree Gully Stepping Stone Child Care Centre, Ardtornish Playgroup, Ardtornish Children's Centre, Goodstart Early Learning Hope Valley, Banksia Park Kindergarten and Playgroup, Surrey Downs Community Centre
05.01.2022 Another local business has made it to The Advertiser's top 25 count! Whether you prefer bold defined brows or a more natural look, it takes a lot of trust to allow someone to work on your eyebrows, so it's no surprise Beauty Fit For You made the top 25 for best brow bar in the state! 05.01.2022 South Australian Labor's plan to connect homes with CWMS septic tanks is fully funded with on-site rehabilitation included. Richard Harvey MP's Liberal Governments plan is only partly funded and contingent on contributions from the Tea Tree Gully Council.
05.01.2022 Right now SA businesses are struggling, SA workers are losing their jobs, and the Marshall Liberal Government is not doing enough to help. Their COVID stimulus spend is the smallest of any state, as a percentage of Gross State Product. South Australian's deserve better.
05.01.2022 Beautiful morning for a NAB AFL Auskick Carnival Let's go Tea Tree Gully District Football Club!
04.01.2022 This is why South Australian Labor announced a fully funded plan to replace the cwms. It needs to be done right and at no cost to residents - they have paid enough.
04.01.2022 Last week the Liberals announced a special $10,000 grant for businesses in the CBD and North Adelaide. What about the rest of the State? We know businesses are doing it tough - support should be fair and equitable.
03.01.2022 We should be taking every step we possibly can to protect our State from the outbreak over the border and that includes adopting a no test, no entry policy. Why isn't the Liberal Government rolling out mandatory testing at every Victorian border crossing?
02.01.2022 Was your dinner interrupted by a robo call from Richard Harvey MP - Member for Newland and Steven Marshall's Liberals this evening? It appears that after cutting the TTP Park'n'Ride expansion, hiking taxes, and privatising Modbury Hospital patient transfers - the Liberals are fresh out of ideas.
01.01.2022 Ambulance ramping continues to escalate with patients being stuck longer than ever. This month ambulances were ramped for a dangerous 1,755 hours, 45 per cent more than last month - the second worst month on record. Theres no COVID cases and theres no flu cases - this is an issue of a system suffering from budget cuts.
01.01.2022 Compare the pair! It is only South Australian Labor who has ensured onsite rehabilitation is part of the plan to address CWMS septic.
