Our unelected head of state advised the Governor-General on how to remove our elected Prime Minister and never once told Gough Whitlam what was being planned. Our campaign for an Australian Republic with an Australian Head of State by 2030 continues.

We still remain tethered to the monarchy of a nation that has decided to leave Europe. A nation that has put its interests over Australian ones multiple timesas a nation willso when is it our time to put our interests above those of the UK? When will we become the leader in Asia we must be, for our economy, ou...r defence, and the development and peace of our region? And when will we accept, once and for all, the damage done to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people? Where is their Voice? Where is their Treaty, where is their Truth? I have embarked on a PhD proposing a model for the Republic. It is the first research of its kind, in Australia. And the first for a very long time in our world, dealing with a new change of government. 07.01.2022 Editorial in The Australian calls for an Australian republic when the Queen’s reign ends: swearing allegiance to the monarchy beyond then would be an anachronism, the monarchy cannot be taken seriously and is irrelevant to modern Australia.
